View Full Version : What colour wheels?

I'm thinking of painting my wheels.
The're a bit scratched from tyre changes so the next time I change my tyre's I think I might like to paint them, but what colour?

I'm bored with the look of my bike and want it to stand out a bit.

I'm thinking maybe:
a, gold
b, white
c, yellow
d, don't bother, at the end of the day the rest looks pant's anyway

silver or black..... maybe

gold, yellow white would look odd as it is, if there was more gold or white on the bike, it may work? IMO

I'm with Hovis on this one. Black looks good and perhaps Silver would work, but I don't think any other colour would.

The wheels are already black so that wouldn't achieve much in the noticeable stakes.

John, you know there is only one colour that fits the bill and works with the blue

I think the only colour that will work is black, maybe polish the rims? so they are chrome and black?

Agree with Bibio, I like white wheels though.

Maybe get the pillion pegs and the rider foot pegs painted/powder coated black, along with the front forks..

It's what I want to do with my bike, if I had the money :(

Match the wheels to the bodywork...

Its a blue bike, black frame and silver engine so Id say any of those three colours. But of course thats just my thoughts. Each to their own.

a - hmmm might work if you go for a 'dirty' gold
b - always look dirty
c - as above but not as much
d - belly pan will 'balance' the look, the bike looks fine since you're fishing for compliments ;)

a - hmmm might work if you go for a 'dirty' gold
b - always look dirty +1
c - as above but not as much - And I always think they're like a faded version of gold
d - Clearly the default response... it is only a pointy after all ;)
I think gold could look really good. Anyone want to photoshop them for him?

to be honest, any colour will look dirty on my bike in no time

I'm a bit slack when it comes to cleaning my bike, so the white and yellow are really a none starter.
I'm swaying towards the gold though, a bit of an impreza look:cool:

:winner:

As I had the tyres off today, I thought I would have ago at polishing the rims. They were scratched from tyre changes anyway, and my powder coating man is away on holiday, so I stuck them in the lathe & 1/2 an hour later...

They are not quite finished, but I was getting bored & time was moving on, but still a great result I think
