Richard '(insert your favourite expletive here)' Brunstrom is finally going as chief constable of North Wales Police.

Good riddance. Maybe his successor will be more interested in getting chavs off the streets than sitting a horse box with a speed camera, eh?

Lets find out what his replacement is going to do to undo all the damage before I venture back across that border. My only experience of North Wales Police was far from positive, when a copper who could find no defects prevented this English ******* from travelling in any other direction but back across the border. and threatened to do me and my friends at 7:30 in the morning for a breach of the peace if we rode another yard but back where we came from
I might actually venture back to North Wales if his replacement is an improvement on that ****. I'll give it a year or so of changes before I make up my mind if they deserve my money to be spent there.
He should of been kicked out a long time ago! Good riddance.

Hold on, I'm going to run outside to gets some flags out!
About time, glad he's retiring and not going to make another force's life a misery.

The new man started this week. He 'is not Richard' to quote the man himself. So time will tell if the new man results in a new relationship between the Police and public around here.

I had a lovely few days in North Wales without a single problem from the local police a few weeks ago. But then, I was travelling in the week and off season, so maybe these sorts of efforts are reserved for the "usual routes" at the weekends during summer when the greatest number of people will get done.
Generally I think his antics were probably blown out of proportion but he did come across less than brilliantly in the press. Can't say I'll be sorry to see him go.

I'm so glad to hear that he's gone, what a prize tosspot he was.
I still can't believe he showed those pics of a biker beheaded in an accident at a press conference, and that was how several members of his family found out what had happened to him...how Brunstrom kept his job after that I have no idea!

New guy sounds okay I guess, benefit of the doubt and all that. His eyes seem to be pointing in different directions though (not as bad as Brunstrom with a crazed, cross-eyed grin and crooked hat in the picture below) but maybe that helps him spot crime?
