Speedo sensor loose

So I was just out for a ride today and suddenly my speedo starts showing less than half the speed I'm going, then nothing. I look it over and my speedo sensor (the little black thing) is loose just off the wheel, starts wobbling about and falling out hanging by the cable.

Now if I want it to work properly, do I just need to secure it in there again? I may be being an idiot asking this.

I have a '00 SV650S with a 750 '03 GSXR front end. It's tasty, but I'm currently doing 0 mph :(

Hopefully, otherwise it is broken.

Resecure it and see if it works would be the obvious thing to try!

Yep, all fixed! I thought it would just be a case of putting it back in but I taped it back in on the day and it still read funny. Cheers YC
