Leopard Lily and I had a lovely day out in North Wales today.... great fun and mainly sunshine. We were lucky in that when it did rain we were either indoors or not actually on the bikes and able to shelter. We did actually get a fair bit of riding done tho we do seem to have taken loads of pics!

We met up in Denbeigh at A & D Motorcycles and from there rode to Bala where we missed the rain cos were were eating lunch. Bit of a stop after that at Bala Lake then further along the road to another lake? we then carried on up to Betwys-Coed but just prior to getting their the heavens opened so we did a quick u turn to the cafe we`d just passed. Home again via places with unprounceable names, thru Ruthin then onto Mold where we parted company.

Sorry there seems to be a lot of pics here but believe me there`s 3 times this many that I haven`t uploaded lol

Thanks again Lilly... was great to meet you and what a really enjoyable day x

Looks like a grand day out

I was working in Dorset yesterday, in a wooded area, we were just finishing when the heavens opened and there was the most almighty clap of lightning

Only when we jumped in the car to go home did we find out it had blown over a tree only a quarter of a mile away and brought it down, narrowly missing two buses, blocked our route home...

The second lake is Llyn Celin. And looks like you were on the dam road, often that gate is locked.

We were spying on the couple in the car whilst pretending to get a shot of the bikes. They kept staring at us snapping away so we decided that they must be having an affair and were worried about the use of our cameras. Okay, we have overactive imaginations lol

haha, i love letting my imagination run away with me like that. Makes life a little more fun.

I lived in gran Canaria for a while and we used to get paid weekly, in cash, on the street out of my bosses car window....what would you have thought if you witnessed that, lol.

Oh Claire - we had such a great day and considering we met as complete strangers we had such a scream. Really enjoyed your company and looking forward to some better weather so we can organise another day out x x x

Plus the roads are superb, I've never ridden over that way before a few week ago, but I'm going back for sure! The only time before this was in a GMP Golf VR6 on my advanced driving course. That was the BEST day I have ever spent driving a car. Sensational.

That last photo of the rain looks nasty! Also, I thought you both had SVs, who's the culprit with the ER-6 and more importantly WHY! :p

That would be me - I had an SV, but for me, it was an uncomfortable bike with having a harrington rod (i've got spinal scholiosis)
With the ER-6 I can sit (MORE) upright better and therefore be able to ride for longer without ending up with really bad back pain, sorry for being a traitor :D

Surely you could put bars onto the SVS...although to be fair it's hassle and the ER-6 is pretty similar other than it's a faired bike with bars rather than clip-ons...
