more practical than the bike then.....
A smart car Blade! Rare and cool, and also totaly impractical...but i like it :)
I have a '97 Volvo S40! Nothing special. My other half has a '01 Lupo Gti which is the total opposite :)

weeeelll i dont havea car, but miss alpinestarhero does, and since i dont have a car lisence either, she takes me about in her car when I need to.
She has a VW Golf, 1.6 SR. Its automatic, which is great for driving about london, makes her life easier. Manual would be better for long distance driving (better for economy) but its a good car, reliable, quiet, comfy.
My dad has a Mk II golf GTi. He dosn't use it much (food shopping once a week) but it is a real fun, cool car. Feels very sparse and basic compared to a modern car...and that just makes it better 8) Sounds quite cool, revs freely, is pretty quick, and fun in the turns :smt025

Yes considering current situation. Considering mobile mechanical work as well as transport/recovery.

Sold my Ford Fiesta, so sometimes I use my wife's Fiat Punto if I need to carry large objects.

I am currently driving a Lexus IS200. Attempting to sell it but in this current climate I would lose too much money on it so it looks like its staying.

Sold the nice 3 series and bought a bike, never missed the car. OK shopping n stuff can be a pain but since i'm single i dont need much.
Managed to get a 23" flat screen TV, in its box, on another occasion a paddock stand in its box, all the way home to hatfield from central london, on the back of the bike, so I can manage most things.
Liking your Blade there, did you ever see the "ferrari" one of those?
there is one near me that is a full Brabus Smart. Its goes like stink too as you can imagine  I'd hate to think how much it cost to do tho

I drive a Vectra SRI150, well not mine, it is the companies
However I was looking at a very tidy BMW740 on a T plate for a fun car yesterday at just under 3 grand. I had to persuade myself that I didn't need a car. It was one heck of a lot of car for little money, but I bet damm expensive to repair if it goes bang.
really need to do a YC and buy a van
anyway i have one of these:

Skoda Superb Tdi. Huge interior, vast boot, 60mpg on the commute into Manchester. Not cool I know, but I just don't care! It was a steal to buy and all the parts have the Audi or Volkswagen symbols on them, so it's well made.

I used to have an Alfa Romeo 156 2.5V6 and a Scimitar SS1 1600
I sold the Scimitar to buy the SV and then got a job I could walk to so I sold the Alfa as well. I now sometimes borrow my girlfriends Ford Streetka which is great fun but is gayer than two men kissing.
Here is a pic of the Scimitar it was ace :)

Sorry to go off topic a little...
Mk2 golf gti's were brilliant.
I had one 10 years ago and spent shed loads modding it, polished and ported head, fast road cam.
It was ace and quick, escort rs turbos had a shock when they tried to pull away LOL

Liz and I share these
1 x Ford Maverick 2.7Tdi
1 x Ford Focus 1.8 Tdci Zetec ( 100bhp Duratorque )
The Maverick gets used like a van / camper and is general dogsbody and the Focus Liz is using to get to work as its working out cheaper than taking the bike is for her.
I however still really really miss my MKIII Golf 16v GTI, I really want another or a VR6 in that body shape, but between us we just have way to many vehicles to justify getting anymore.
I miss my old Maverick since I sold it to Liz and Fizz.

Bog standard 2001 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 16v, 2nd car at 17 :D Goes like feck (well i think so any way) when i get a full time job i want a 1.8 focus TDCI (cant make mind up whether to get the 100ps one or 115ps limited edition one) or a 2.0 Mondeo TDCI 130ps, much tuning will be done to what ever i get, intercooler, cams, remap :D

1998 Rover coupe 1.6 16v, It looks a bit battered but I love the engine and compared to the instructors 1.2L seat its rapid. And it has a removable glass roof and it was only £500!! Bargain

Strangely enough I prefer older cars that have a bit of "Difference". Currently its a Honda CRX dohc 1.6 1993[Targa Top] but for the year very low mileage[80K] but considering its age it still has resonable performance and surprisingly economical if you don't kick the vtec in. I still miss my Porsche944turbo which is a very underated car.
The other half has a VW Polo which we bought new 10yrs ago and has only [50k] on it from new,one careful lady driver, but I thrash the tits off it.

Desials are beginning to lend themselves much more to a performance car, Seat run diesal engined leons or somehting in the world touring cars, with alot of sucess :D and audi have a diesal R8 aswell.

I know, its strange you assosiate diesel, slow, sluggish, boring, taxi, van etc but they do shift, my Dad had the 2.0 ltr mondeo 130ps tdci that i want, f**k me that was quick, gave my Mums Fiesta ST (150) a run for its money. My cousins mate has a Golf GTI MK5? (the one before now) Diesel with 240 bhp at the front wheels :o fast, but economical :D
'07 Mazda 6 TS2 2.0td (143bhp version). Me likes it a lot :-D

Get to drive the work heffer dervs though. Can't complain at 50mpg @ 100mph  Astras doing about 20mpg at that speed. Or 6.9mpg @ top speed!

Our Astra does the same! 51 plate 1.6 petrol Comfort (middle of the range). My Mundaneo 2.0 Ghia X (06 plate, petrol with LPG conversion) is more comfy but needs a heavy right foot to make it move, whereas the Astra has a very free-revving engine and is more fun* to drive...
*compared to other cars! Not the bike, obviously!!!!
I must admit I do like cars (sorry) !
Got a modified twin turbo Toyota Supra which will give some quick bikes a run for their money :D and a (don't laugh) modified Smart car !

Quite, in my van 80mph feels like about 400! Not to mention at those sort of speeds you can see the fuel gauge moving. Economical it ain't :(.
But on the upside you can put the kettle on and make tea, and there's a fridge, sink and a proper bed if you fancy a kip.
