NGK CR8E for 03-09. Only difference is K7 onwards has 4 plugs rather than 2.

You add IX to the end of the plug number for iridium ones.

Don't know whether they're worth the extra bunse in honesty, you may get a slightly better burn but cold starting was better for me with the normal plugs.

Average word on the street is not to bother , the SV is a bit agricultural in those terms and it appears to be a waste of money , although I swear I heard Berlin mutter something good about them on the Hardy Bikers II ...... I may have imagined it though .

Put it another way , they won`t do any harm so if you feel they would benefit you and rest your mind and get them cheap enough , then go for it :) , if , like me , you are a tad sceptical then stick with good old bog standard normal plugs .

Iridium plugs are a little better for the curvies (carb'd) bikes i think, it helps with the cold starting (from what some people have told me, although jase up there contradicts mystatement, so i guess its bike specific).

Why did suzuki change to a twin-spark engine?

Why did suzuki change to a twin-spark engine?

Something to do with the Emissionary position of the engine :smt040

iridium plugs last longer, they also give a better spark. but the main reason for me was they last longer.

I intend to put in iridium plugs on my K6, at next interval. Our Toyota came with iridium, from the factory. I just changed the ones in the Toyota at the recommended 100,000 miles. They showed no erosion and were uniform in color.....so I would bet that they would have gone many more miles.
