hey, ive just bagged myself a scottoiler on ebay, does anybody have an idiots guide to the fitting of it?
Visit the scot-oiler website - you can download bike specific instructions from there.
You can mount the reservoir where you like, but I put mine under the pillion but very low so only the top was visible.

ive had a look. they seem to mention about carb models, is it the same process for the fuel injection?
nope there is a specific guide for the fuel injection models, but from reading posts on here i think you simply connect to one of the balancing ducts? and cant help you with fitting to a pointy but the curvy has a brilliant place for the reservoir lol.
Rear cylinder has two vacuum takeoffs - remove the little black cap from one and put on the right-angle connector in the kit. Job jobbed.

You need to get the guide called
"SV 650 S 2003 and SV 1000S"
on the drop down list of guides for Suzuki on this page... http://www.scottoiler.com/support_installation-guides.asp?command=model&id_language=1&id_manufacturer=14&id_model=333&kit=
