Well I finally have a picture of me riding my motorbike!!! .........

Anyone else had one of these on their bike? :(

Got it in the mail last week. Was caught on Hucknall road in Nottingham (Near junction to Mansfield Road). Was using the buslane to filter past traffic. This is a first for me, didn't even know they had started enforcing them with camera's.

PS. I was guilty. Just did it as it was safer than using the other side of the road between the traffic to filter. :(

Seems silly that we can ride on the opposite side of the road facing oncoming traffic legally but get fined for daring to put a wheel into an empty bus lane, I had one about a year ago, coming up to a 3 lane junction, me turning left, but the traffic was backed up by people turning right and going straight ahead beyond the bus lane, cost me £60

I got done in the same bus lane a couple of days apart. Was highly irritating, its my own fault though, saw lots of others bikes doing it and coupled with being bored of sitting in traffic and late I just nipped into it. Its only a stretch of about 30m of bus lance, completely pointless

I use the bus lanes going into London for work, but I make a point of checking the sign at the start of them, just in case the miserable so-and-so's take motorcycle permission away !

go back to the bus lane and check for signs advertising that they are enforcing it with cameras. if not i think you may be able to appeal or summat.

Not all - the ones that come under TfL are, the ones under Local Authority are not, This means that generally, Bus Lanes on Red Routes are fine, but if its a Yellow Line (single or double) you had better avoid.

You need to check the sign at the beginning of EVERY section - so everytime you cross a junction where the Bus Lane ends and a new one begins.

Unfortunately I think there are signs, although they refer to the speed cameras, but I think that is the generic camera enforcement sign. Whether it refers to the bus lane or not.

I got one of these recently, had 4 tiny pics of me on it. Well i say 'me' as i couldnt see the plate or even make out that then bike was actually an SV or not, thats how small the images are.
So i called them and said i'd happily pay if i was sure that was me on my bike. They very helpfully said they would send me a DVD of the whole incident, which they did.
I wrote a letter, forgot to send it and called them again to buy some more time. Then they sent me a letter saying they had recieved my letter (hadn't sent it to them by this point) and they were very busy but considering it.
Hmmm.

So i waited.

Coulple weeks went by and they send me another letter saying that they had considered it and even tho the ticket was correctly issued they would use their discretion and withdraw it.

Result :)

Oh BTW, be aware that even riding on the fat white line of the bus lane itself is deemed to be "in" the bus lane  very petty but another way they catch some people doing absolutley nothing wrong and making them pay for that privelege too.

I thought that was no man's land! That is harsh

sounds like you had a right result!

Yup, result alright  Harsh aint the word, its ridiculous frankly.
If a cra sits with 2 wheels on the white line, and i see it plenty, it also blockes the bus from moving past it most times. Do they get sent a fine? Do they hell! Yet when a biker does the same thing but is actively out of the way of the bus its a fine. Theiving scumbags who man those scameras, thats all it is.
