Yeah theyre not to bad. Along with a tankbag and rucksack you can carry a fair bit.

I always managed to fit everything I need for a weekend away in my tankbag and rucksack strapped to the rear seat, hence the oxford panniers I bought never got used, for a week away or if I were hauling my own camping kit the extra space they provided would have been useful though, they fit the SV just fine, it's only the high level exhausts that should cause a problem
If you're interested, they're black, brand new still with the tags on. Bought them a couple of years back and they were the top of the line ones, "Sport" I think they called them, cost £110, make me an offer:cool:
yeah, had these and a mini tank bag for my trip to France last year.
They are alright, they'll move a little from where you strap them on, not much though. They're solid on the move. Velcro straps are ok, use something under it to make sure it doesn't mark up your paint.
The tie straps are a bit short for the SV, you can make them fit, juts be better if they were a wee bit longer. Think they come with 2-off bungees too. Handy.
The rain cover however........ absolute p1sh! Lifetime garuntee? Not worth the paper it's written on. The wind will split the seems and leave it billowing all over the place. I couldn't believe it after less than 200 miles.
SO pack a couple of bin bags and some tape.... just in case.
Hold plenty though!
Cheers
