As the title, before i fitted the r6 throttle i noticed that when the standard twistgrip is fully open i can reach into the throttle body and move it a little more until it "clicks". In other words the twistgrip doesn't move the throttle body fully between its limits. So when i fitted the r6 twistgrip i left it the same.

assuming what i have said is understandable, should the throttle body move completely between its limits when the twist grip is open fully?

thanks

Sounds more like your cables are badly adjusted to me.

cables have always been adjusted as per the workshop manual however i have now adjusted them so that the throttle body does open lock to lock if this is how it's supposed to be.
thanks

it's a pointy - i now have less freeplay in the twistgrip but its fine - i guess i really just wondering if the throttle body should deffo move from stop to stop

Thought it might be. Take a look at the link below as I reckon that might be your problem.

thanks for that - so it's a matter of taking a little more off the tube most likely or i could probably get a liitle more freeplay by loosening the cables and readjusting from the throttle body end
It's a nice mod and really makes full throttle so much easier now - so even more self control is required around town - it also does make the throttle slightly more twitchy but thats not really a problem
