Get arrested and pay attention when they do a Police National Computer check in the holding bay of the custody block.

On a serious note:
Go to your nearest Nick and under the 'Disclosure of Information Act' you can apply to see any information held on you by any Government body.

Disclosure Scotland will do the basic check for you. You can do it online but need to send docs in to verify.

theoredically due to the freedom of information act you should be able to go to your local station with suffifcant proof you are who you say you are and look at it there but in practice i belive it may be a bit more indepth than that

I'd have thought if you have to ask what's on your record then it's probably long enough for you to be past caring.....

On a serious note that's exactly what you do do. Have to fill in a form, pay about a tenner, and I believe it's now posted to you rather than a "quiet word around the back", although if it includes enough assault on police charges i suspect that could be arranged.

Thats the best way, what do you actually need it for? Do you need an enhanced check for working with kids you will need that. My has experired now, I think they are good for 2 years.

You need to call or write to your local Police HQ. They will advise you what to do ;-)
