Hi there everybody,

Newbie here. I normally just lurk on forums, but as I have an actual question I can't find an answer to, I thought i'd better be polite and say hello.

For info, I own a K2 SV650S, with a mere 40000miles on the clock. Unfortunately, 38000 of them weren't mine, but I am trying to catch up by going to Scotland next week.

Regards
Dan (exile)

Oh yeah, I put my actual question somewhere else on the forum.

Thanks for the welcome.

Its a little bit rough on idle when its cold, but its perfect when warmed up, so yeah, really just run in!

Scotland next week is either going to be very wet, or I will be eaten alive by midges. Either way its my first proper biking trip and my first proper holiday since January, so I am looking forward to it.

Hey Dan,

Welcome.
If you haven't already, post a hello in "South and West Surfers" group.

Just out of interest me and a friend are looking at biking up to Scotland, leaving this Sunday (although it looks really wet that day).

What are your plans, and fancy meeting up with a fellow .org rider?

We're riding up from (effectively) Cardiff, so nearby.

I don't actually leave until next Friday, when I go to Scarborough first.

Then its Scarborough to North Berwick via the Yorkshire moors. North Berwick to Forfar. Then to Aberdeen via the Cairngorms. i am then staying in Aberdeen with family for a couple of days before heading across to Skye (via Loch Ness) for the following weekend to meet up with another friend for a few days. Then start heading back to Bristol.

I think I am away for a total of 12 days.

Ah well, no worries, just a thought.
Hopefully it'll be dry for your run up, looks like it may be a bit wet for us!
Enjoy and see you on here!
