anyone know where i can get some brass springs, as in shop i can walk into now and get them now lol? :rolleyes:

Errrr..............nope, straining as hard as I can I still can't see what sort of calibre you're talking about.

Give us a clue, a couple of mm long, a couple of metres, tension, compression, leaf, torsion, what sort of rate or forces involved................???? :smt102 Is it to replace an existing one, or a new application?

Why brass? It's not a normal material for springs, doesn't really have the right properties, but I've seen phosphor-bronze used for some types. Could it be in stainless steel?

If anyones interested I have 2 sets, not tried them out but intended to use them if the curvy hadn't been stolen.

got some now cheers dave, bike nearly all done fro AR just got to do brakes tomorrow, put it all back together and she's ready
