ouch!

riding to work this morning at 05.30, minding my own business in lane two of the motorway, following a safe distance to car in front, cars to my left. the car in front hits some debris in the road which is flicked up at me hitting the front of the bike with a bloody big bang. looked down to see my new screen in pieces, managed to pull over onto hard shoulder, found front centre fairing cracked, side light smashed from mounting points and my new screen in ten bits!! pi**ed off to say the least. i know it could have been worse but bloody annoying. advert in the parts wanted section :wink::wink:

That sucks! Did you find what it was? Wasn't a spring off an F1 car's suspension i hope ;)

not sure what it was, might have been a bit of a truck tyre, looks like it flexed when it hit the fairing, defo wasn't a spring:tongue::tongue:

"Lucky" you had a screen to take the impact. Friend of mine (lots of years ago) got a half brick stuck in his helmet after it fell off the back of a truck when he was overtaking on a motorway.
