Rather than mess up Messies A12 thread I thought I'd give you your own !!

The A13 is Jct 30 on the M25

Follow the slip road to the roundabout & take the 3rd exit
(A13 Tilbury/Grays/W Thurrock/A126/Basildon)

Follow the A13until you come to another roundabout (approx 13 miles) this is one of those strange multi-mini roundabouts so

Take the first exit to 2nd mini-roundabout

Take the 2nd exite to 3rd mini-roundabout

Take first exit to A130

Follow A130 (approx 4.5 miles) and stay left at approach to roundabout to take filter lane (1st exit if you reach the roundabout itself) to remain on A130

Take A132 exit
(S Woodham Ferrers/Wickford/A1245)

Turn left at traffic lights and at next roundabout take 3rd exit
(A132)

Follow A132 to roundabout & take 2nd exit to remain on A132

Follow A132 to roundabout & take 2nd exit
(B1012)

Follow B1012 to roundabout & take 1st exit to remain on B1012 this becomes the B1010 a few miles down the road

Now you can have some fun 'cos this road is good !!

Stay on this road for about 10 miles - it starts as a NSL road then reduces to 50mph then 40mph & finally to 30mph

Once you hit the 30mph section you are at the village of Althorne

Take a left turn at Burnham Road (shortly after the 'ALTHORNE' sign)

Follow this road through the residential area & out the other side

When you hit the NSL section do not get carried away or else you'll miss the turn !!

After NSL sign you want to take the next turn on the RIGHT - Green Lane

Drive a few hundred yrds and the Huntsman & Hounds pub (campsite will appear on your left.

Little Note (1) - Should you get lost and decide to ask for directions (very unlikely I know) - there are 2 Green Lane's in this area !! Make sure you ask for the one with the Huntsman & Hounds pub !!

Little Note (2) - Although it's a fun road to ride just be aware that there are sometimes scamera vans posted along the B1012 / B1010 - they are visible from a reasonable distance (Essex Police do tend to follow the 'rules) - just don't get carried away !!

See you there
