Good weekend.

Yeah... I kinda got bored on the A1. Went right at Worksop towards Tickhill, but I set off from the roundabout when I saw you chasing the 1098 rider on the A57 - got back to mine at about 3:30 after a splash and dash fuel stop to make sure I had enough to get back to Chesterfield with the Sprint in the morning.

My pleasure.

It was worth it for the laughs. I was honestly cracking up watching you trying hard to make it lock up on the brakes and cursing the ABS, then realising the only way to get it sideways was to use too much throttle.

Yey, you can have lots of fun with a bike on a wet grass:p and it would be even better without ABS!:p

......My chain came off at around Junction 18 on the M6 whilst I was in the fast lane. That was a change of underwear moment.

Phoned the recovery peeps and got me and the bike taken home and got back about 9PM. Will have a look tomorrow but I think there is damage to the clutch mechanism as weel.

Thanks for a great weekend though folks. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Trying to get across three lanes of traffic with a dead bike was scary. I reckon they all must have seen it happen as all three lanes seemed to slow down for me thankfully.

Glad you are ok Grant ... could of been worse !
Yep it certainly could of......Just checked the bike and the push rod for the clutch has been snapped in two but that appears to be the only additional damage that the snapped chain has caused (touchwood).

exactly what happened to mine. make sure to check the mounting of the worm drive mechanism, which is attached to the LHS engine casing. This snapped off on mine too, and ment I needed a new casing. Hope it didnt do that to yours.

oi dp, we never waved and passed anybody that had broken down, and if we did pass him then you must have too, but i don't recall passing any bikes at the side of the motorway, so there you go hopalong. ps if it was around birmingham we were concentrating on getting manx matt to the services befor fuel ran out, as he doesn't believe in filling his tank up,doh.[-X

Hi All - Home about 2:15 yesterday. Had a great little run down the Meon Valley to finish off a cracking weekend.

Signed on last night, but must have missed this thread.

Oh and I dropped it this morning when I got to work. :(

Virtually no damage at all luckily. R&G a little scuffed and a tiny stratch on the can.
