I am installing a power distribution plate that cuts power when the ignition is turned off. To do this I need to wire the plate to the tail lights power wire of which there are three: black with white, white with black and grey. I am leaning toward grey being the hot wire. can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I'm not sure without looking it up, but both versions have three wires to the rear lights ( you haven't said which it is), two are live, one each for tail and brake, and the other is a common earth.
if it's a pointy and you hold the plug from the light facing towards you, I think from left to right it's tail/brake/earth in that order.

Good morning all.
Just checked the manuals.
On a Curvy the tail light feed is brown. On a Pointy the feed is grey, which turns brown at the loom plug.
Cheers.
