but then you have to have the shower on longer to clean it out, thus wasting more water

Our shower is over the bath.
I just went and peed in the shower while my wife was in the bath and got into some trouble.
You failed to make it clear to only do so when actually using the shower yourself.

i've peed in the sink before now. I was very drunk, very lazy and a student so all things considered i did quite well to make it that far i think.

The Guardian
Is this a 'new' thing? I pee in the shower all the time.
Ok, my house layout is a bit weird... the bathroom is upstairs but has no toilet, which is situated downstairs. Been peeing in the shower for 7 years (ever since I first bought the place).
Does that make me an eco-hippie? :)

hardly surprising

You wern't supposed to give her a golden shower, no wonder you got into grief :p
pee on your feet if you have athletes foot, the uric acid helps cure it, best to do this in the shower, doing it in the garden the neighbours watch...

For some reason in our house they tend to use Focker rules,
If its yellow let it mellow. Sod it I just flush the damm thing. After all I am the one that pays the water rates.

Or, pee on your compost heap as it works really well as an activator (the little beasties like it and the stuff decomposes quicker). Depends on how close the heap is to your shower of course...

Reminds me of one drunken mate who after a night out was caught by his mum.
Sat on the peddle bin strides round his ankles.

I know these little things all count & everything, but if we are so concerned about the environment, especially when we are posting on a bike forum, why do we all waste huge amounts of fossil fuels zooming up & down, support whole inductries with oil production for engines, scottoilers etc.etc. not to mention the steel industry, aluminium industry for frame & wheels, plastics for fairings, leathers ( which must use product for tanning etc.) ........ shall I go on!!!!!
If eveyone likes/wants/needs to pee in the shower all power to the individuals concerned, me I will use the appropriate unit that was designed for the task becasue my wife would :smt006 if I did any different.
If I want to be eco, I walk to work & eat musli, until then I will put on my leather boots, jump on my metal horse & twist the grip until it runs dry!
Have a nice day............:riding:

:smt003 Mine too.
Was thinking about this thread the other day in the bath. I kept getting a slight whiff of pee from the toilet, so I sat up, reached over, lifted the lid and gave the bowl a squirt round with toilet duck so I could lie back down and enjoy my bath and my bike magazine with the smell of radox from the bath and fresh air from the window. Only a couple of days since the toilet was cleaned, it looked clean enough and is flushed with a damn sight more powerful flow of water than you get in a shower each time it is used, but still managed to give off a very slight unpleasant whiff of pee.
If you pee in the shower daily, what the hell does your bath, shower tray, shower curtain, etc, smell like? If a toilet flush, a rim block, and a daily squirt of toilet duck under the rim and round the bowl, and a once/twice weekly clean, can't completely eradicate unpleasant odours from a proper ceramic toilet, how the hell can the spray from a shower? The shower must smell the same as a toilet. Can you imagine walking into a shower that a family of four has been using to pee in every morning? Yuk.

Given that this is a Brazilian advert you do have to appreciate they not only have a slightly different outlook on life but a different lifestyle as well. It's quite normal there to have three or four showers a day so showers get quite a bit of action and there's plenty of opportunity to do two things at once.... It's also worth knowing that a lot of the showers are on the outside of the house in the fresh air so it's not quite as bad as it seems.

Er, no. That's a step way too far and I don't think anyone would eat any of the veggies I grew if I did. Me included!

I'm racking my brains wondering how eating muesli makes you 'eco'?!
Peeing in the shower is a daft idea- that's what toilets were invented for!

dafter than using 6litres of water to flush away less than a pint of wee?
Agree about the muesli thing tho, lol.

Failing that you could use one of those new compost bins the councils have been dishing out to everyone. Stick one in the bathroom and get everyone to pee in there and empty it on the compost heap. Might be better to empty your bladder at the beginning of the day though as by the end of the day you may be greeted by some intoxicating aromas on opening the lid :D

shouldn't be too bad, a composting toilet reminds me of the smell from a hamster's cage

Less than a pint?! No chance, I drink a lot of water! In fact I could shower in my wee and save the shower water [-X :smt082
We have one of those expanding bag things that sits in the cistern - saving a litre or so per flush, that's a better idea than peeing in the shower IMO. :)
