is it just me that really can't stand them :smt011

last week i wasn't paid for some work i did, i wasnt happy as it was a fair bit and i needed it, so i went to sort it all out and i asked them to pay me the amount in 2 half's, one last week and one this week so it saves on tax and its like a wage

last week after i spent ages sorting it all out that i get paid the 1st half and have it all sorted out that today i would be paid the second making sure they pinned it up so they wouldn't forget............. today i haven't been paid :smt119

i seem to be dealing with more and more incompetent/idiots as the weeks go by :smt119

I have the same problem each week at my work. Sometimes a few quid down, then a tenner here.

Last week i was owed over 8 hours worth of wage.

Idiots. :smt076

My lad did 6 weeks of tiling for a company who said they would put him on monthly pay and he had to work a month in hand. So end of 6 weeks he is expecting 2 weeks pay. Instead they simply said we have no more work for you and are ceasing trading. 12 tilers all owed between 6 and 8 weeks money.

The company owner said, I will pay you when I get paid, then claimed the primary contractor had gone bust and wasn't paying. Turned out to be bullpoo he had pocketed the money the lads should have had and claimed he was bust.

Are people incompetent, or are they trying to take the p!$$?

Or are they lazy and just can't be bothered to do a decent job?

Recently had a screw up on the mortgage. They owed me into 4 figures. Took 9 weeks for them to do the calcs, and then get the right person to sign it off. Then another week to send a BACS transfer. When i rang to chase it up they got a strop with me. If i'd owed them they'd have had the hinges off the front door chasing me for it.

How awful. Has anyone made a complaint about the company owner to try and get the money they are owed?

If it was incompetence, wouldn't it work occasionally in our favour?

They were all self employed subbying to him. They are treated as creditors and not employees. So he now has a bad name and will not get anyone to do any more work for him. But with the way building is, there is no work to do anyway.

He has disappeared off the face of the earth, believed to be somewhere in spain. His house/car etc was snatched back. what money he has was all squirrelled away in cash for a quick run

The public sector are all like that mate.

Sorry, just re-read the title - it was "incompetent people", not "civil servants".

I'm kidding, keep yer hair on.....;)
