View Full Version : Amnesia & friends go for a bimble...
amnesia

Mr & Mrs Von Teese popped up the M1 to meet myself and my wife / boss / cook / cleaner /sock darner / botty wiper in Matlock.
I had planned a short-ish route to show them the local bike-haunts...
Matlock - Buxton - Cat 'n Fiddle - A54 - Rudyard - Leek
We met up at about 11.30, and left the VT's at M6 J15 at about 5.45.
We had a great day riding (obviously) and talking about all things bike related and more. We may even be popping down to the Soho meet at some point soon...watch this space.
The weather was brilliant...and even an exposed girlie butt-crack didn't persuade either Mr VT or myself to look away from the RC8 coming down the road in Matlock.
Anyway, we took a few photos. I should have taken more really. These are from the layby stop overlooking Rudyard lake.

I was in Matlock Bath on Thursday,
Its a lovely place:smt060
I've been a couple of times, but never on my own, so that was one more on the list of things to do that are now ticked off the list!

I'm in the same boat DB, need to do some stuff on my own for my own peace of mind, means i can try things on the bike (and sometimes do them badly) with no-one judging me, and learn lines, cornering speeds that suit me and my riding speed and style. Everytime i'm out with the OH i just end up feeling inadequate and thats not the case - he's been riding twenty years, i've been riding 6 weeks so its not comparable. The upshot is that i'm planning a 5-day, 1000 mile trip alone, both to improve my riding and more personally, as a mark of my own independance.
But back on track... looks like you guys had a good days riding, nice pics xx

hey I've been riding five years.....and i only just figured its best to go out on my tod!!!
I'm not frightened of doing 300 miles in a day, which I've done, its not the distance I'm bothered about, ridden to Bordeaux and back, getting the itch to go there again, its the wiggles in between, i have trouble with :-)
But yes back on topic.
COOOLLLL HAIR!!!!

If only they still did Koleton 'Red sensation', I will have a look what they have in the professional shop
Reds never last, they fade very quickly and what you need is a good colour refresher to keep it going inbetween roots
I love your colour, though but cant see me getting away with that at work lol! I will have to just stick to the red wig ;)
As for the rest, next time we will put a notice up on the site and see who wants to come along.

My hairdresser is trying a new brand on me, once you had it redyed a few times you get such a build up on your hair it doesnt wash out. So watch this space lol
