I want a good alarm but not expensive. What do you think about Hawk Alarms?

I'd be inclined to say they are a waste of money, I'd have more piece of mind in an almax chain (www.almax-security.co.uk ?). Sorry if the advice isn't appreciated just my opinion. Round here most bikes are chucked in the back of a freezer van anyway so alarm doesn't really help or if they're doing a pro job they spray expanding foam over the speaker and do one/chuck it in a van. Best thing I've found my alarm for is when it's failed and was permanently on car drivers seemed to think I was a copper and pulled over for me

Hawk alarms. Cheap, relatively easy to fit and after 6 months, reliable so far. Self arming is a bit annoying though. Never rely on an alarm for security though, buy a good lock and chain too.
