Greetings everyone,
Thought i had better register after lurking for several weeks reading bits of information.
Ive had a 125 (the yamaha YZF-R125) for just over a year and decided its time for a bigger bike, picking up a pristine totally stock K2 SV650 on saturday, cant wait to get out for a ride!

If anyone in the north west reads this im a regular up at Rivington Barn, and a bunch of the other local meetup places, hope to see some of you there!

Hey Avenger....welcome to the forum! El Saxo rides out to Rivington Barn quite regularly I think. I'll text him and get him to say hi.....he would eventually anyway, but he's not on here everyday.

Hope you enjoy your new bike :-)

Oh, and Spidey is an actual real bonafide superhero by the way. Just so you know;-)

Where are you located? Based on that you can check out that regions section of the forum and see if anything is planned....

The ride will depend on who is there and how they ride. Ours for example are typically pretty brisk with a mixture of roads. We don't normally use a drop off system, unless someone gets left behind.

im based in preston (updated my profile) i currently ride out with a fairly mixed group of modern sportbikes & classic bikes (my dad rides both a 600 bandit & a 1955 Norton, although not together!) but it would be nice to meet some fellow owners sometime.

When you first ride the SV, be aware it'll be heavier and probably slower to turn, so just take it easy until you get the idea, then build yourself up to throwing it around. Will the bike be restricted? If so, dont bother revving over 8000 rpm, and anything really usefull to making progress is between 5000 and 7500 rpm.

SV = gooood bike :D enjoy!

How old are you and are you male or female? Sorry.....been asked to enquire by a lady I know in Preston...lol.

It will be restricted, i took a 125 test on purpose (despite being 26 at the time) so that i would be constrained to smaller/lower powered machines whilst i learned to ride properly
its not actually that much longer till my 2 years is up & i can ride unrestricted- but when i saw this bike i couldnt let it go

Hello and welcome. I had a Yamaha YZF R125 too, mine was in blue. I even went along to the AR08 on it, lots of fun :D.

Good luck with your new bike and all that extra power. Ride safe

Spidey, this is Nic. She won't mind me putting this up, she likes this pic...lol. It is by no means the best pic of her.....I have stunnin gpics of her, but this is nickie being nickie...the cheeky little minx!

Bunny Boiler....NO
High Maint......A little, but she doesn't expect blokes to understand...or pay!
High Sex Drive......she's insatiable ;-) She even used my breast as a pillow once, she can't get enough...lol.

She's hard to handle because she's been alone for so long when living out in Ireland and has got used to her independance, but she's the most loving, fabulous, fun and wonderful girl you could wish to meet. She's coming to ours Sept 4th weekend if you fancy coming over....nudhe nudge, wink, wink!

She needs a man that's a man and that can put her in place when she needs it!
