Got an awful day ahead of me tomorrow (Weds). Its my nephew's funeral. He was tragically killed in a quad bike accident 10 days ago. He was 10 years old.:(

Thing is, neither side of the family particularly like the other. (his parents are divorced) and I just have a feeling that someone - not me - is going to make a snidey little comment to someone else. I hope I'm wrong about this but with emotions running high its a potential powder keg.

Anyhoo. We'll just have to see what develops.

OMG that's just awful. I feel for you.

I sincerely hope that the warring factions can set aside their differences just for one day and focus on your nephew's memory.

Little fella - rest in peace.

Aww hun I know how you feel, had a similar funeral with high emotions when had to bury my Nan. My Dad came back from the states with his new wife and I never knew he was married.

Last time I saw him he had me round the throat so I was dreading seeing him.

Funny that all emotions remained under wraps and we respected the funeral and bired my Nan in piece, I really didnt think it would happen, I was set to push him in the hole but my grief was stronger than my anger.

I hope that this is the case for you tomorrow, it's not a nice situation to be in on such a sad sad day. Big hugs to you and I hope it goes trouble free.

I am so sorry to hear about your nephew, thoughts with you and family xxxxx

Hope that neither side blames the other for such a tragedy. Perhaps grief will unite the different sides and the funeral will be dignified.

Thanks for the support guys.

The event went off without a hitch, although I could feel the hatred towards my former bro in law from my Dad. He managed to keep it under control though. TFFT! I don't like punching people at a funeral - it creates the wrong impression!!

Really sorry to hear this. At least everyone managed to get over their issues with each other and turned up to for your nephew and his parents, shows a lot more respect than half of my family who didn't even turn up to their own mothers funeral!

Hope you and your family are as ok as you can be at a time like this. Such a tragedy that such a young life has been taken, you know where we are x

that's awful, just hope everyone keeps it respectful and dignified manner going forward. Emotions must be running high thought. Nobody would have meant this to happen and cheap comments don't help. RIP little lad.
