View Full Version : Ipods (Soulkiss need not apply)
right i found something interesting last night. Now, people probably know this, but i didnt even in my geeky ways!
I found that you can copy the music off your ipod onto your pc then if required whack it on another ipod without any software at all other than Itunes.
Right its fidly but works a treat...for anyone that needs to do this.
Open your ipod as a drive (Windows explorer or my computer)
Search through for Music
You will find folders named oddly, these are teh music folders.
Create a folder on your PC (Call it wahtver you want)
Open each folder in turn and copy the contents to your new folder
Once done, open itunes and add folder to your itunes libary
It will then add your music and label it all (If the ID3 tags were correct when you copied them to your ipod). It will then rename all the folders etc and you can then import them to WMP, or whatever flavour Media player you have.
Job done
Prbably been told before, but you never know :)

Always wondered. Will try that. Cheers Jimmy Son.
I may be wrong, but I thought this only worked on iTunes v3 and below. Something to do with copyright infringement, meaning you can basically get anyones iPod, rip the tunes off and put them on yours. I might have my wores corssed though so dont quote me on that.
Well i am using IT V8.2 and was taking it off Vernas Shuffle.
Cool! In that case Im robbing my mates iPod and nicking all his musuc mext time he's up this neck of the woods
Yeah it works - I am using 8.2 too and it works a treat I did it from my old 1st gen nano to a newer one I have as one was getting to the end of its life.

Faulty.
Here is my Auction for a faulty 20Gb Ipod Wheel Click.
It powers up, recharges, but since I downloaded iTunes 8 it has never worked, error 1418 is reported.
Comes with USB lead.
Why ?
ahh that's cool then just thought it'd be a bit off selling it to someone broke and not telling them.
I would never do that, but I know where your coming from. ;-)

Define "normal" mp3 player? Normal can be perceived to be the most common and therefore a normal MP3 player is an ipod.
Or you coukld follow TLW and become the second person in the world to own a MS Zune! ;)
