Heres the thing, chap buys brand new, still in wrapper DVD off me, then he says it dont work, want my money back and for me to pay return postage ...when i get it back, surprise ...it works fine..so being a gent i refund him anyway...guess what ...hes only given me negative feedback !!!

What a cheek :smt021

What to do - can i ban him from bidding on my stuff, report him..waste of time methinks...what ?

Thing is i know from bitter experience, people like this can take liberties all the time and the system backs em up !

Fill in his name and address on every magazine and internet 'please send me samples/info' form you can find, preferably for things that are morally dubious. Pointless and childish but it might make you feel better :-)

probably find he copied the dvd, or watched it once didn't like it and thought to send it back claiming it didn't work.

speak to ebay, they are better at resolving this stuff now since sellers can not leave negative feedback.

My brother has an ebay shop

1200+ satisfactory transactions, 2 negatives. 1 was 6 weeks after purchase, the second 7 weeks. You then start to read the moaners own feedbacks and realise they are professional moaners, most of their transactions end up being posted negative.

Time Wasters.

Go to ebay & open a Dispute case against him.

then sign him up for all sorts of things like free tampons & stuff like that

Thing about dispute cases is - they can end - or even begin - with your account being locked / frozen ...and thats what im trying to avoid here ...:p

Last dispute chap froze my paypal account and the money he'd opaid me ...you cant beleive the power of the buyer...and they expect you to send DVDs free of charge p+p ...eh ???

they stopped this because if a buyer was genuinely not happy and left negative feedback all the seller would do is the same. this lead to complaints that people were simply using negative feedback as a way to get back at eachother, so ebay changed it.

you need to speak to the ebay people and resolve the issue, they will liase between the seller and and buyer

from the one time i had to complain about a seller sending me a product that was nothing like the itme in the picture i can say this much...what a waste of time ebays resolution service is.

All i ever got from them was standardised emails saying "we are sorry about your bad experience and will do everything we can blah blah" and did f-all in the end but said if you aint happy contact your local police. WTF.

Why did you give him his money back? Isn't that as good as admitting it was faulty?

I would have sent him an email after testing it saying it worked fine and if he wanted it back he'd have to pay postage. Done this many a time now as I think it's the fairest way and why should you be out of pocket if it did work.
