Not going into detail, but as enough people know about this that it will spread, I thought I would put the facts on the board, but no detail, for obvious reasons.
Following exchanging details for a minor RTA coming off the roundabout at the IMAX onto Waterloo Bridges (Sideswipe, bikes right side to cars left), I was assaulted by the other driver.
He tried to leave the scene, I stood in front of his car - he drove into me at low speed - but with increasing pressure, I banged on his bonnet to get him to stop.
Cops attended, arrested him for Assault (3 independant witnesses, including one that also called the police), he alleges Criminal Damage for me banging on the bonnet, so I also was arrested.
Thats as much as I can go into on a public forum at the moment as after spending the day in cell D2 of Belgravia Police Station, I was released on Bail for 5 weeks.
Bike is fine, Vixis and I both have heavy bruising to our right legs.

No, he tried to leave the scene after the cops were called to attend the assault.
the police are NOT interested in the RTA, just what happened after it.

It is infuriating that the police are sometimes incapable of distinguishing victim from aggressor.
My younger brother was locked up for 16 hours the other week when the guy who had his arms round my brothers neck suffered a fractured neck when his mates pushed my brother down a large flight of stairs.
Brothers view of it was he broke my fall, if he had not been trying to drag me down the stairs he wouldn't have fallen when his mates pushed me.
But because my brother (with over 30 separate injuries, when body mapped) was deemed by a special to be uninjured he was assumed to be the perpetrator of the assault, not the victim. Witness statements contradicting this view were conveniently ignored for the sake of an arrest.
Legal action is currently being investigated together with a complaint for wrongful arrest, false imprisonment, denial of medical attention etc.

Seriously bad luck and sounds like not much fun to me :(
Well then find another route home!
That's what I said...
SK - I'm sorry to hear this fella!
IfI was you I would retire your user name & pick a new one. If the perp wants to find evidence that you're a bad rider that likes punching stuff then would these threads count as some sort of evidence/confession. I'm not having a go btw - just a bit of CYA!
That's what I said...And if hes not going to listen to you, then he certainly sint going to listen to me!
I have yet to have a right go at someone. An occaisonl shake of the head is about it!

Oh SK, I'm so glad you and Vixis are ok, but what a horrible situation. Agree with the advice of taking photo's. Really hope it gets sorted soon and with the right result!
So what caused you to stand in front of the car?
How can they arrest someone without evidence? (I understand there wasn't any damage to the bonnet?).
Ever considered getting the tube? He he.
Get well soon.
