I thought a lot of sections are having fun taking the wee-wee and being random in their own mini-megathreads, so I thought I'd start one here. It'll have very light moderation, no swearing or rude piccies but pretty much anything goes... lets have some fun.

no no no no you've got it all wrong - you're supposed to wait until the regional members pull their hair out in frustration before inventing a regional banter thread! :smt019

OK I`ll start.........

WHY CAN`T MEN READ BLOODY INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO FILLING IN FORMS ETC?

2 hours I spent last night helping my son fill in a form to claim his tax back. After 2 hours one question was stumping us so I looked on the front of a form thinking there must be a phone number to ring for help. There in big black bold lettering was

"SIGN IN THE 10 PLACES INDICATED... DO NOT ENTER ANY OTHER INFORMATION AS THIS MAY DELAY YOUR CLAIM WITH THE TAX OFFICE"!

2 bloomin hours filling in the sodding form with information they didn`t want! What a waste of time, I asked Chris if he had read the front page and his reply was "evidently not"!!!!! ](*,)

Rode to Liverpool today. There's a layby on the A41 at Tushingham, on the Shropshire/Cheshire border. Brettus SV lives not far from it, he'll know where it is. It's set quite a good bit back from the road, a fairly wide entrance to it, screeened by trees. It's on a lovely open straight downhill section with perfect visibility, just where you'd want to overtake old vans chugging along. The damn thing was parked immediately in front of another van, both hidden by the trees. I've never seen one there before. I only saw it as I overtook, by then too late http://www.675.cc/675/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif I can only hope that the rustbucket van I was overtaking shielded me from the camera as otherwise I'll get a NIP soon http://www.675.cc/675/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif Just as the 3 points had expired, too http://www.675.cc/675/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif http://www.675.cc/675/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif http://www.675.cc/675/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

Cinderella is now 95 years old.

After a fulfilling life with the now dead prince, she happily sits upon her rocking chair, watching the world go by from her front porch, with a cat named Barry for companionship.

One sunny afternoon out of nowhere, appeared the fairy godmother.
http://bl149w.blu149.mail.live.com/mail/SafeRedirect.aspx?hm__tg=http://65.55.115.7/att/GetAttachment.aspx&hm__qs=file%3dadbc7593-d4e0-429d-863a-97152bb901db.gif%26ct%3daW1hZ2UvZ2lm%26name%3daW1h Z2UwMDIuZ2lm%26inline%3d1%26rfc%3d0%26empty%3dFals e%26imgsrc%3dcid%253aimage002.gif%254001CA9045.AC4 D2300%26msgHash%3dffffffffffffffff&oneredir=1&ip=10.4.88.8&d=d3724&mf=0&a=01_460a93c938940c613f87c295acfe623dabbe3fc3ec5b8 0941d5f280cd6e0c16d

Cinderella said, 'Fairy Godmother, what are you doing here after all these years'?

The fairy godmother replied, 'Cinderella, you have lived an exemplary life since I last saw you. Is there anything for which your heart still yearns?'

Cinderella was taken aback, overjoyed, and after some thoughtful consideration, she uttered her first wish:

'The prince was wonderful, but not much of an investor. I'm living hand to mouth on my disability cheques, and I wish I were wealthy beyond comprehension.
Instantly her rocking chair turned into solid gold.

Cinderella said,
'Ooh, thank you, Fairy Godmother'

The fairy godmother replied,
'It is the least that I can do.
What do you want for your second wish?'

Cinderella looked down at her frail body, and said, 'I wish I were young and full of the beauty and youth I once had.'

http://bl149w.blu149.mail.live.com/mail/SafeRedirect.aspx?hm__tg=http://65.55.115.7/att/GetAttachment.aspx&hm__qs=file%3dd725ddbd-9059-4e68-88c1-febe9344b292.gif%26ct%3daW1hZ2UvZ2lm%26name%3daW1h Z2UwMDMuZ2lm%26inline%3d1%26rfc%3d0%26empty%3dFals e%26imgsrc%3dcid%253aimage003.gif%254001CA9045.AC4 D2300%26msgHash%3dffffffffffffffff&oneredir=1&ip=10.4.88.8&d=d3724&mf=0&a=01_460a93c938940c613f87c295acfe623dabbe3fc3ec5b8 0941d5f280cd6e0c16d
At once, her wish became reality, and her beautiful young visage returned. Cinderella felt stirrings inside her that had been dormant for years.

And then the fairy godmother spoke once more: 'You have one more wish; what shall it be?'

http://bl149w.blu149.mail.live.com/mail/SafeRedirect.aspx?hm__tg=http://65.55.115.7/att/GetAttachment.aspx&hm__qs=file%3dbdd6cfd7-65c1-4f69-b976-2670fda5e764.gif%26ct%3daW1hZ2UvZ2lm%26name%3daW1h Z2UwMDQuZ2lm%26inline%3d1%26rfc%3d0%26empty%3dFals e%26imgsrc%3dcid%253aimage004.gif%254001CA9045.AC4 D2300%26msgHash%3dffffffffffffffff&oneredir=1&ip=10.4.88.8&d=d3724&mf=0&a=01_460a93c938940c613f87c295acfe623dabbe3fc3ec5b8 0941d5f280cd6e0c16d
Cinderella looks over to the frightened cat in the corner and says, 'I wish for youto transform Barry, my old cat, into a kind and handsome youngman.' Magically, Barry suddenly underwent so fundamental a change in his biological make-up that, when he stood before her, he was a man so beautiful the likes of him neither she nor the world had ever seen.

The fairy godmother said,
'Congratulations, Cinderella, enjoy your new life.'

With a blazing shock of bright blue electricity, the fairy godmother was gone as suddenly as she appeared.

For a few eerie moments,

Barry and Cinderella looked into each other's eyes.

http://bl149w.blu149.mail.live.com/mail/SafeRedirect.aspx?hm__tg=http://65.55.115.7/att/GetAttachment.aspx&hm__qs=file%3dd0ad2100-bf9d-4e59-9285-21bf05898fba.gif%26ct%3daW1hZ2UvZ2lm%26name%3daW1h Z2UwMDUuZ2lm%26inline%3d1%26rfc%3d0%26empty%3dFals e%26imgsrc%3dcid%253aimage005.gif%254001CA9045.AC4 D2300%26msgHash%3dffffffffffffffff&oneredir=1&ip=10.4.88.8&d=d3724&mf=0&a=01_460a93c938940c613f87c295acfe623dabbe3fc3ec5b8 0941d5f280cd6e0c16d
Cinderella sat, breathless, gazing at the most beautiful, stunningly perfect man she had ever seen.

Then Barry walked over to Cinderella, who sat transfixed in her rocking chair, & held her close in his young muscular arms.

He leaned in close, blowing her golden hair with his warm breath as he whispered...

'Bet you're sorry now that you cut my nuts off'

On a day off today, been a nice relaxed one. Sadly nothing planned for the weekend. Games and movies likely. No enthusiasm for anything more constructive.

Might nip out for a ride if the weather is half decent sometime but not expected.

How's about after your shifts Quiff?

I'm skiving college today, don't feel too well, something todo with an ex turning up I think

Sorry to hear that one Josh, looks like you are getting a lot of positive suggestions over in IB so that should help improve your mood :)

I'm quite jealous shawthing, I should be feeling that way but I'm just not motivated at the mo.

Wow that's definitely a big day Quiff! All the best, I'm sure it will be awesome once the initial nervousness is over. And a really nice way to finish it off too with Monty not thinking he's in with a shout of leftovers :-)

Hope it all works out great!

Morning All, Monday comes round again.
Mercifully mine is only a half day as we are off travelling into Europe for work so flying out of Liverpool just after lunch.
Back late Wednesday and then off to see Royal Republic in Manchester on Thursday night, the week is practically done before it started for me.

How's everyone else's weeks looking?

Have fun Brett :)

Bloody idiots! Get wet turning up to my exam at college, wait 40 minutes as no teacher has shown up, then we finally get told to tomorrow's work, which I haven't learnt yet. Then sent home with our doing out exam and get even wetter! Not happy
Lets hope rest of week goes ok now

I resisted another OFI Monday post but Here goes the TGIF post :)
We have all made it to the end (well almost, its all downhill for productivity for me at least) of another week. Has it been an exciting or good one for you? Anything you wanna say about the week so far then have at it ;)

Mine has been more settled this week, although locked in a meeting room for 3 days straight its been interesting and entertaining. Nothing too stressful and I've got the bike show sometime soon to look forward to.

Sadly my bike is out of action though as the front brakes are SNAFU, I'm gonna trailer it up to YC for some attention then hoping to get a few more miles under my belt this winter beyond the commuting.

Hows the knee now Nobby? And the foot Quiff?

oh no! glad the foot is OK but the fall at work sounds bad :( hope you stay gout free and Mandy makes a speedy recovery, injuries in the line of duty suck most.

Knee is healing... first day back working today, so although I'm now back at work, it's only been for one day. Apparently I have grade 2 (out of 4 - which is were you can't walk) arthritis.... so although my damaged cartilage is gone... I'm not going to be running many marathons. Can't use the bike again until January/ February so got a winter of maintenance planned. To cheer myself up I've been mostly buying stuff and cooking stuff while I've been off. I've spent a shed load and put on half a stone lol! :D
