been out all day on the bike and got in about a hour ago, couldn't be ar5ed to make any tea so decided to go KFC, not had one in years and i can honestly say it was absolutely disgusting.

taste was ok but im sat here now after just finishing it and i a feel like im going to hurl :-?

I think it definitely depends on which outlet (I can't bring myself to say restaurant) you get it from - when I was in Stafford at uni, I could rely on the laxative effects of that one. Not had any such problems at any of the others I've tried though.

I dont like the normal type its really greasy and horrid, but I love the spicy chicken they do (hot wings and the Zinger burgers)...its the only 'fast food' I will eat, I dont ever eat McMurder burgers and Burger King etc.

Some of the folk looked in there just looked at me, I was like "hat I'm hungry problem?"

There buckects of chicken everywhere, it took ages to get the smell out of my car. I was feeding a film crew hence the large amounts of the stuff. I don't eat a lot of take out/fast food junk simply casue it cost too much and taste like poop. But at that point, I was every hungry so had a bucket to myself.

I agree with wideboy, KFC is crap.
I have one over the road from me and i think they are just a bucket of grease.:pukel:

The breast of chicken is edible, but you only ever get 2-3 nice bits the rest is horrible.
The fries are always under cooked and soggy.
It does make you feel crappy after, thats a fact ( in my world anyway).

KFC is the king of the fast food world! Those of you who find it too greasy i have a tip for you. Get it home, if you can wait that long that is, and heat the oven on a high temp. Make sure you have a rack that either fits into a baking tray or put a baking tray on the shelf below. Chuck chicken in for 5 mis or so and greasey stuff drips off and crispy coating is more crispy than ever ..... and its just yum!

An old friend made quite a few million out of KFC, he and his wife had about 15 franchises that they sold a couple of years ago. So the franchise owners make serious money flogging you that crap.


The quality has gone down hill, cheaper lumps of chicken from god knows where. thick kids behind the counter who charge for and fail to include part of the order etc.

I used to like it 30 years ago, I would order my chicken and get a portion of ribs thrown in. Best KFC I ever had was in Taiwan. There the special coating has a chilli type extra in it. I was desperate for some western type food and actually enjoyed my junk food.

Question for you all. where was the first KFC in the UK? The answer is not London or any big city. and it is still there on its original site.

They have that in South Africa, you also get special sachets of 'chilli salt' which has the KFC logo on them. Mr VT and I love to leave them lying about in English KFCs to confuse the staff ;)

+1 Yes, tell us the gory details.

KFC is about the only fast food I like (cept for fish and chips as well) and at least you can see you're getting chicken of some sort. But it isn't as good as it used to be, thats for sure.

Maccy D's also used to be ok, but now just bland bland bland.

I once had a Burger King meal at a USAF airbase, wow the diffrence between theirs and ours is staggering, much tastier ...................................... probably all additives

Well you wanted to know, so here goes...

This may be an urban legand or it may be true; you never can be sure
but the person who told me this said they saw it first hand and put them off KFC for quite a while.

So he got this call to go check on someone who hadn't been seen in a while, so they got to the front door the property and after much ringing, banging all was quite. Then lifted up the letter box, no I'm not sure how many of you know what a dead body smells like but this one was ripe.

So they booted in the front door searched and found what was left of a body in advached state of decompstion. I'm not sure what people know about this, but where it was found it well for want of a better word had melted into the floor. Now this had soaked into the floor ect.

Guess what was under the flat? A KFC take out place. So they went in there and saw a brown patch on the celling, above fryers. No this brown patch had expand and now was forming drops then droping into the fryers.

So yes the remains of the person upstaris had soaked through and dripped onto all the food mmm yum.

About where the fast food industry get its supply of meat ect from, you know I bet if you watched that it would make think again about what your putting inside of you.

I won't put any MCD's any crap like that into me it makes me feel rough, beside chinse food is full of MSG or can be which I don't like a great deal. Bad food like that does taste nasty.

I prefer Japanese, Tai food, Mexican, over pretty much anything it taste good and is a bit healtier.

Me too. I'm not snobby about it or really have any kind of high morals - just not really a fan. Plus I sit in front of a computer for ~12 hours a day - if I started hitting the fast food joints then I'd be on the fast track to Rick Wallerism! :wink:

To be fair you get what you pay for in these places. Its cheap, (sometimes not so) fast food. Does what it says on the tin, Fills you up and tastes ok.

I tend to eat it, mainly only KFC, when im traveling or hungover. Works wonders as a hangover cure with all the salt and carp in it mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D
