View Full Version : My written-off 2007 K6 Pointy - any interest?

I don't have a clue where to begin repairing it but someone here might so if you want a project I can tell my insurers to not scrap it (I think they'll do it by the end of this week unless I tell them otherwise) and you can then go and buy it and do what you like with it!

Damage, in my very limited experience, includes but is not limited to:
-front forks
-front wheel
-front and side fairings
-all the oil leaked out
-dented downpipes

How much do you reckon it'll go for and hows the head stock and the rest of the frame?

I don't know what sort of state it's in apart from what I saw it do after it was crashed and what you can see in the pics.

the oil that leeked out was the fork oil, not engine oil
the one fork leg had snapped
all plastics are damaged,
tank is good

If someone does get this and is maybe converting to race bike or whatever ireally need a grab rail and this is the right colour so a quick note would be appreciated.

Okay fellas I've spoken to my insurer...

It's now worth about £1,300 or so, it was a cat d.

They've given me the contact details for the salvager who has it - I really don't have the time or inclination to buy it back, arrange for it to be hauled to my garage and then have it sit there to wait in case someone decides to buy it. For one thing the sight of it all bashed in in my garage would be upsetting, and secondly I need all my insurance cheque to buy myself my new ZZR/FZ/PanEuro/Deauville/whatever!

But if you're still interested please PM me and I'll give you the details of the salvager and the ref number for the bike so you can call them and buy it directly from them.
