Italian bikers

After a recent holiday to Italy I thought I'd share a few pictures of Italian bikers I saw out there!

1. Most of them were wearing about as little as possible:

2. This guy was doing about 80 km/h on a motorway! Its one way to save petrol haha.

I used to do that on my old scooter. Sit behined the coaches.

dangerous? Possibly, but when you gain 7mph in slipstream (so from 62mph - to neaarly 70), its worth it ;)

What if its only his time to fall off at 40 mph though? The skin injuries alone make me cringe.

I can remember watching a Jeremy Clarkson program about driving habits in other countries and one of the programs was on Italy.

When he asked some official type Italian bloke why noone ever wore seatbelts he said "We don't need them, we have good hospitals"

On a Piaggio Hexagon 125 (image google it, purple one)..... :lol: Not quite chav...

Wasn't the speed, it was getting home faster. 13+ miles of motorway at 62mph takes an aggeeeeeeeeeee, especially when the bikes came passed at over a tonne :(

One of my biker friends is Italian and can't understand all the fuss we make here about protective clothing (altough she does wear it here herself but that's because she gets so cold lol!!!)

I reckon they work on the idea that if you ride in flip flops you will never get it out of first gear cos its too painful.Therefore safer than hooning it round at max speed.:rolleyes:
