Visit the Doctor. Or ice.

Ibuprofen will help to keep the swelling down, but the Doc's or Hospital would be your best bet.

It always amazes me (and this isn't aimed directly at you btw!) how many people's first place to look for medical advice is the internet, rather than the qualified medical professionals that we pay for with our taxes!

After the amount I've dealt with the nhs the past few years I'm not supprised, I caught my doctor searching on google last week after admitting she didn't really know..

I kinda thought 'I coulda done that'...

But yes for stuff that is obvious like a swollen wrist, i would go to the doc first. Although they will more than likely diagnose it as a swollen wrist and give you some paracetamol.. so yet again you have already worked this one out yourself..

I'd put some frozen peas on it and leave it a few hours if and it's still sore go to the hospital for xrays.

*NOTE I am not a medical proffesional, I've just had to deal with them for far too long!*

what did you do?

It could just be a sprain that needs some ice, elevation etc as already said.

If it is worse I would definatelly get to A+E to get it checked just in case it is worse and could cause complications later.

been to the docs, I have broken a couple of bones in my wrist. I went to the hospital but they told me I could be waiting X ammount of hours to see a doc.

Probably because they get better advice. Honestly, my son had a persistent injury to his arm, had iced it, ibuprofen etc, finally took him to docs today - result, *deep tissue bruising*-continue doing what you have been doing and come back in a week if no improvement.
