Well, I am such a proud Mum today! Evie M got her results today and got 1 A*, 2 A's, 1 B, and 5 C's.

All this from a girl who was on Special needs 10 years ago and couldn't read very well. She has worked so hard and deserves her good results today. This also means that she's got into 6th Form college and can do the 4 A Levels that she chose.

Well done Evie! I'm so very proud of you!

By the way Lou, congratulations to your daughter :)

Well done to her, I did crap in mine. Good enough to do A levels but I wasn't happy with the GCSE results and them A levels were hard and I wasn't interested in them, Did better at college this year so thats all good :D

It isn't too late to learn! I came away at school with only 2 O'levels, grade C. At the age of 39 I finally qualified as an accountant after studying at night school, it was a long slog and I wished I'd worked harder at school!

Clever girl, well done to her.

My lad got his today, a brace of Bs, a C and an F in biology. He probably spends too much time researching biology practicals with his burd.

Missed this yesterday but being the silly s0d that I am I got a lump in my throat reading your OP. Well done Evie M and Well done you! It must be so gratifying having watched her grow and work so hard to see her get the results she deserved.

I wish my cousin had got the chance to know her results, she took 17 GCSE's and got 11 A*'s and the rest straight A's.

I think all kids need a big thumbs up and Evie M gets two :thumright:

well done Evie, what are her plans next? Becky was up in Scotland last week seeing her old school pals. one got 4As and a B in her highers (sort of between gcse and a level) and has picked her subjects for advanced highers (a level ish) school has told her she cant do any of the ones she wants as they are either not running course or she is only one who wants to do it. Such a shame. She is now looking at colleges. Why do they make it so hard for kids who want to learn

Is there a recurring theme between the Scots on the thread here? Not that we are pushy or anything. :p

Thanks everyone, we spent the weekend at Bala sailing to celebrate, lots of other teenagers there that she spent the evenings with drinking.

What's next? She's off to sixth form college to do A levels in Fine Art, Photography, RE and Geology.

And keep up Jabba, there was a thread in June about my big 4-0!!! (25, I wish!):D
