View Full Version : What do you think of my helmet?

I am hoping to have purchased something decent and safe, and did not go down the Shoei or Arai route.

I had an old piece of rubbish called "Nitro" which has been handed down generations of friends, it is no doubt old, been dropped and useless, so decided to go and get my own helmet. I must say I am very happy with what I have bought.

It is a Caberg with a flip front, and also has a neat little sunvisor that folds forward by way of a shutter on the top of the helmet. Is this generally a good make, and does anyone else love the flip front helmets etc?

Caberg make good lids. Have a quick search in the Helmets section as i'm sure there have been a few threads about them in the past.

Congrats on the new lid :)

A 'good' helmet is one that has the necessary sticker(s) (ideally the Gold ACU one) and fits your shape of head correctly - all the rest is just personal choice regarding the aesthetics.

Only problem I had with my Caberg V2 was that it was a little noisy, I have been informed that they have improved a lot.

I LIKE HELMETS :)

My old lid was a Caberg V2. Nice lids and not a bad price. I hav an Arai now and I miss the sun visor thingy in it ! Good choice
(Hoping Bluepete does not find the picture out of me in it LOL)

Mate has flip front caberg with no problems. All people I know with flip lids wear glasses. Obvious why i suppose.
