Last night at about 10.15 I had just finished packing up and was heading for the door to the area where my office is set up.
I heard footsteps in the corridor outside, as I was in the doorway I looked out and there was nobody there....
I stopped and listened and the school was silent.
My mobile rang behind me and I realised that I'd left it on the desk and went to get it.
I was on the phone when I heard footsteps in the corridor again.
The corridor is about 50 feet long all doors off it were locked. one way into it and one way out.
The school was locked and I was alone in the building.
I poked my head out of the door and was again, nothing there.
I turned off the lights and walked down the dark corridor towards the lit room at the end.
The corridor was freezing cold in the middle.
REALLY cold.
Cold enough to make the hairs stand up on my arms and neck (and nipples feel like bullets!) although I was wet with sweat from working hard in a hot school building.
I had thought it was the caretaker coming in to see if I was ok but once I had made my way to the school reception, turning out the lights as I made my way through he was pulling into the grounds in his car.
I waved and headed off for the night.
I mentioned it to him and one of the cleaners this morning and they both have felt something and strange things have happened around the building.
Small children have been seen in the corridors at the side of peoples vision.
Conversations have been heard in empty rooms and footseps have also been heard before.
Pictures have fallen off walls in empty classrooms and have been found in the corridors outside the door 6-10 feet away without disturbing pots of paints and pens etc on shelves directly under where they were hanging.
Clocks are always being replaced as they keep breaking and doors that have been shut and are on closers are found stuck in the open position.
Seems like I always get the interesting jobs.

it just wont come across in a written form sadly. I've tried explaining it to friends who know me well by email and even they thought i'd finally smoked too much.
the background story is more spooky than the actual meeting was. I'd always though i;d die of fright (yeh, big scary old superhero me is afarid of ghosts) if i saw/met/encountered a ghost but on the day i was quite fine about being in the same room as him. And yes i know it was a him.

Ah dude, i know what you mean there. TBH before that experience i was unsure one way or the other and i'm still not one who believes in mediums or those rubbish TV programmes and the like. But once you experienced what i did you would KNOW that there was somone there. Its hard to explain in text like i say but i wouldnt offer it to the world and leave myself open to ridicule if it wasnt something i was very sure about now.

Ahh but the people who believe in mediums, aliens etc are also 100% sure that they are correct. Doesn't make it any more believable. If anything, it make other people think they are nuts!

true and a good point well made Darren. I dont mind if people who i explain it to dont believe me. I'm not one of those freaks who will try and change your mind and "believe" in things.
Personally, even tho i ride a motorbike i'm still convinced that tyres and grip round corners is magic and cant be explaned either, but i know it works and i believe in that too ;)

Nope, I'm running the refurb of one in birmingham.
The refurb must involve flushing out some ghosts! Hope you don't disturb them though, it could get nasty!
