View Full Version : Not feeling good. Sympathy required please.
I've been battling a heavy cold/flu for the last week, but being self-employed I've had to go to work. I really wanted to go down south to Portsmouth today to meet Mike Perham (round the world yachtsman - back today) but when I woke up at 4am I really didn't feel like it, I'm really disappointed. By lunchtime I felt a bit brighter and hopped out on the bike, only 5 miles later to be feeling light-headed, dizzy and sick, thought 'self, this is bloody stupid' and came home. Typing this in bed I feel like I've gone a few rounds with a boxer. I'm going to have to give in, I think:(
I hate feeling ill:(

Healing hugs Ed, get what rest you can an don't push too hard, that can spread the infection around to bits that are not so hard wearing.
Get well soon, you are after all one of the characters that makes this place so happy, so we hate to see you feeling sad.
Hugs and smiles,
Jayne and Carol

excellent remedy for this is to have the following;;
beechams powder, double whiskey, generous spoon of honey, lemon juice, topped up with hot water, not reccommended to go riding after :D. then go to bed to sleep off, repeat as needed. Guaranteed to feel better and sleep soundly. :smt015:smt015:smurf::smurf::smurf:
WARNING!
do NOT :makelurve: as you will pass your germs on and wake up with a worse headache than before and won't remember why you've got it!!!!

Honey, hot water, lemon slices, big slug of whiskey, Downed as hot as you can stand it.

I'm struggling with it too. Managed to drag self to Hein Gericke yesterday to see Carl Fogarty,then came home and straight to bed. Managed to go to shop today and bought all the wrong stuff, so am back in bed. It''s not pleasant.

BTW have you tried Night Nurse? It's great to knock you out so that you can get some sleep. No idea what's in it but it works a treat!
