Is that the advert, of the guys in the bunker in the middle east.
If so I have spotted a couple of mistakes, that currently employed Raf personnel could clear up for me (or just tell me I am sad)
1) Is blue uniform now current issue for Hot weather conditions.
2) Since when did the albatross in the badge become a eagle
3) When did the Raf purchase a jet that can change shape (Harrier GR7(fast sweeping shot) to Tornado Gr4 (drops the paveway 3 LGB))
Just an ex crab wondering if times have really change in the 3 months I have been a civvy

My ex boyfriend was in the RAF, he hated it ...A LOT!
He left! I can get him to contact you but he wont be complimentary about it at all.

No its ok ,thanks for the offer though :D Im ex RAF meself, I got out in the 80,s though when it was still regarded as a decent career, I just dont remember ever working with anyone from the RAF reserve that all and now they are advertising on the telly I just wondered what the regulars thought of the weekend warriors, I was also suprised to see on the website you could enlist up to the age of 50 or 55 if you had any past military experience, btw the oldest serviceman to die in Afghanistan was a 53 yrs senior aicraftsman with the RAF Regiment, thanks for the replies anyway :)

Probably just exactly the same as Special Constables....but they dont get paid for anything except their petrol to and from the station.

sums it up quite well; unless you choose a decent trade.
the reserves are regarded well within the RAF, unlike the pongos (army) who do not like the fact someone off the street working a lot less than half their time is actually equal or better than them.
