OW!!!! That Bell looks the dogs danglies but I don't think that I'll get one as my next lid. HJC HQ-1 like mine, £280 RRP although shopping around can get much closer to £200. HJC also have a new carbon lid with a built in sun visor for under £300.

Buy some helmet polish (e.g. Crystal-Glo) to polish up your lid to keep the carbon fibre looking sexy :D

The guy that sold it to me said that bell helmets are quite rare - i dont know if this is true but guess this one being limited edition is pricey. The visor is included in the price - them alone are £75 "apparently".

Thanks for the tip bout the helmet polish..... nothing wrong with keeping your helmet clean lol!! \\:D/

Oh and it is for the VFR for next month when i get my restriction off and get to ride a fullll pooooooower bike Woooo!!!

I am a tad jealous, the carbon/gold look would go luvly wid me black/gold striple! That is very nice but theres no way i coulda payed that much for a lid! (reason being at the time id spent more than planned on bike + extras ;) )

i brought the lazer fiber pro light and am very happy, similar to the above really jus diff brand for jus £250

EDIT: would like the new HJC tho as the built in sun-visor is very handy as we are getting less and less sunshine (having to remove my dark tint visor too much these days)

It is expensive i know but you only live once so what the hell lol!! As well as it being limited edition, Carbon Fibre and a Bell lid that is why its the price it is i guess. It is a real quality item theres zero wind noise, ventilation is great, no fogging up at all, and really does feel like im not wearing a helmet as its that light!

Cheers

All that and your riding a curvy sv?!

Nice bit of kit but I can think of better ways to spend the cash a bike fast enough to match the new lid would have been my first choice.

As already said got a VFR waiting for me in my garage.... I didnt look at the RRP, obviously we did get a rip off, but having said i did get a Bell luggage holder, the gold visor on it and obviously the clear and a dark tint visor thrown in with it to and "aparently" the visors are £75 a piece so its not to bad.... It doesnt bother me either way, i like it, it looks the dogs and if i want to spend that on a helmet i will, i can afford to so why not... not being funny just being honest.

Cheers

So you got 3 visors? at £75 each all for £575 it's back to not being a rip off, so enjoy 8) Just hope you've got some insurance for your kit over & above your bike insurance (oh & keep the receipt ;))

The guy said with care it should last 6-7 years..... less than £100 a year..... thats fine if you ask me..... Rather have a quality helmet that has the latest and best safety ratings than by a £100 helmet thats no doubt dated and wouldnt pass the latest safety assesments.

I like it.... I payed that price because i can, so no need to keep commenting on the price is there.

Honda VFR forum for me i think. Cant even sell my bike on here without someone deleting the post as i was trying to generate interest, n cant post pictures of a f**kin nice helmet without people trying to put a downer on it because i spent 575 quid of my hard earnt money on it.

Minority not majority mind you but getting hacked off!

(cool head on temporarily) Stu yeah its going onto my insurance for the viffer, and yeah reciepts in the safe lol!

Rant over, and out!

Cmon whats all this talk about expense.Thats what sensible people worry about we ride bikes so sensible dont really come into it. Why spend 9 grand on a brand spanky new gixxer when you could be sensible and buy a suzuki alto instead. We spend money on cans and all they do is make more noise, to many people totally insane, to us perfectly reasonable. So we are all mostly a little bit mad just each in our own slightly different ways partly what makes the org so entertaining.

Weeelll said, id rather pay that for a piece of safety equipment that will less the chance of permanent braain damage than a big ass loud can - which ive got anyway woops lol but really doesnt matter cost of it.... some people go tesco value some people go tesco finest get what i mean... its personal preference at the end of the day lol!
