Does that mean you'll grow a beard and talk down to everyone?
Hehehe.

Looks like I'll be traveling it along though......any more takers?

Do we get a go in the big red engines as well?
Still on for this? What time you going to be there Stu?
Yes, will try & get there early like 10 am.
But that may turn out to be my idea of 10 am
Id be interested in coming as an org newbie. What sort of time and where is this event? You guys meeting at any particular time and if not can I suggest we do?

11th hour effort from me!
Theres no plan at the moment, but we're all ears :)
Where are you coming from, and what time do you think you'll get there? I think I'll be there before 12, but I dont think I'll be dead on 10. I'm a slow starter on sundays... :D
Will revisit this thread before I leave.
\...and where is this event? ...

I'm coming from J4 M3
Good to see you again ooger, sorry it was brief as I was busy with giving assessed rides and trying to win a set of tyres before getting home for 2.
I got 55 secs to remove & replace the rear wheel but someone else had 39 secs :( - I'm so slow I didn't even get home til 3.
Saw a few SV's - a K9 Blue in the back car park, a Silver 53 doing the slow riding...
Was a great day! :D
Twas indeed a splendid time, and I'd recommend it to anyone next year - hopefully with a ride to/from it. No sign of you dizeee - I checked the thread before I left too.
Parked next to a blue pointy, but was gone when I returned.
Brilliant stalls, good presentations inside the Fire Station and free food (well, sort of).
I didn't take on the wheel changing, I'd need a Haynes, a cup of tea, some biscuits and a camping chair for me to do it properly and be satisifed :)
My response time on the brake light:front brake exercise was 0.24, thanks to Surrey Police.
Wish I'd taken my bike for the free inspection only just for the horn test... :D
My reaction times were
0.27
2.12
0.28
0.39
err.... the second one I think I was on my phone, certainly wasn't concentrating, just thinking about something else.
The 4th I purposefully kept my hand on the bar, not the brake to get a better idea of reality so 41m down the road at 70mph before you even touch the brakes :-dd
So did you get clobbered for raffle tickets while in the food line as well? yeah it's a bit of a captive audience that one  - I'm still waiting on a phone call - or from winning a free service [-o<
Heh, my times were (honest):
0.24
0.26
0.24
I was hovering on the brake though - you're right, you shouldn't - because when you ride, you dont.
I got no raffle tickets, which was disappointing, cos I wanted a couple even if just for the cause. Couldnt find the point-of-sale - or theyd gone for tea when I was there....
Good to see the firemen putting their otherise pool-playing, tea drinking time to good use on the BBQ ;) (just kidding, they're worth their weight in gold, if not more)
Fingers crossed for the free service win, though it sounded "basic" - i.e check wheels, 2 - pass... :) ?
I can sell you a couple of my raffle tickets ;) (pretty sure I haven't won)
I heard him say the free service was £150 worth so should be 4 hrs for him I think
He's always there giving the same talk & free inspections when they run the day (2 or 3 times a year) he's pretty thorough with the inspection to the point of being quite petty.

I was surprised to hear it was in Aldershot - took a card anyway, he seemed to really know his stuff (petty is not a bad thing when you reckon up how dangerous a badly maintained bike can be, in any area) though I do most of the basics he covered myself.
-- I'll have all of your tickets that you want to keep, following the draw - hows that sound? :)
I'll even give you 3 times the price you paid for them.
OK, I want to keep all of them in a worthless Michael Jackson concert ticket type way :D
