OOoooo bit of a heart attack this morning on my way to work....

So I was coming down a road, pootling along and I saw a bloke pull up to the upcoming cross road so I slowed cus im always worried about it there.8-[

And he started to pull out so I moved out to the far side (thinking he is guna stop) and he just pulled straight across the cross roads. Hit my exhaust I think. The back slid out. Thankfully i kept it upright....just!

I did think he hadnt stopped but he had pulled up up the other road and came running down. Really nice bloke, just totally didn’t see me. He thinks it was cus of all the light coming thro the trees on that particular road. I took all his details just in case there were any problems. But I think its ok

But blimey, thats one way to wake you up in the morning


ps. sorry for crap typing...hands are still shaking :-(

Yeh what shall i get it checked for do ya reckon? could he have knocked the wheel alinment or anything?

Depends on the impact, I am not an engineer, but it something could be out of whack.

So get it checked now, rather than in a couple of months when something starts to play up.

In saying that there is a good chance nothing is wrong, but better safe than sorry.

Gentle punt with the car. Quick hug to the damsel in distress. Pretty good ice breaker I'd say......that approach or chloroform!

How scary to have that happen, that's the thing that always worries me about being on the bike.

Soulkiss is right, get the bike thoroughly checked over (at his expense, and tell him you are going to get it done and if he wants to pay outside of the insurance for it, get it in writing etc) Dont be a sucker just because he was nice to you.....

Thanks sweet cheeks. I got Col to look over it earlier, he is going to take it for a ride to see if it feels ok. If he thinks anything is slighty out i'l take it in. I'l try and be a hard ass about it :smt079
