Whilst watching an interesting prog about tunnel construction on 5 tonight, during the commercial breaks I had to put up with bloomin DFS adverts for their sofas.

Not only that, but they've got YET another sale on. Seems to me they have a sale on every month :-k Massive savings, buy now pay 2030

I thought shops weren't allowed to have 'continual' sales?

Rant over - Do they think I'm Freakin Stupid :rambo: to believe the prices will go up at the end of the sale :rambo:

Don't mind entertaining adverts but DFS take the biscuit with their's, along with 'miracle' make up claims and others

DFS have ' sales ' every day of the year. They all end at close of play Sunday & there's a new one on Monday.
A watchable one is the daft 61nt throwing a ball at the top of Beachey Head for her red setters. Bet which one hits the beach first?
Think it's for Nurofen which wont cure the dog's headache.

The train-line sheep one. Mr Smarmy buying in advance online saving a packet- & all the rest of the mugs in an endless queue at the ticket office.

It's not really possible to predict emergency travel in advance & I sort of resent getting charged more because of that - & I really resent some Ad Company implying I'm stupid.

.... And Breathe....

Edit: & If you're on a low income you don't necessarily have the cash floating around to pay in advance. Sam Vimes Boot Theory. Hurrumph.

EDIT: & MICHAEL WINNER "MORE THAN" ADVERTS. ALL OF THEM.

Annoying adverts - that'll be all of them then!

A lucky select few may be enjoyable for one or two viewings but then the fun's gone and the irritation takes over.

Plus, you can get exactly the same savings by buying your tickets in the ticket office, in advance. Which means some of those sheep are quite savvy as they're at the 'tickets for future travel' window. And this is before I get into what a shower of ("ladyparts" -Ed.) Trainline are... both from a customer and railway industry perspective.

I hate a lot of adverts - especially ones that show everyday scenes but with a 'wacky' twist, like everyone has bingo balls for heads or they've got Crunchy Nut Clusters in place of other food, and there's quirky music playing... GO AWAY.

I really don't want to hear about athlete's foot/vaginal discharge/see someone kissing a baby's backside that's just come out of a ("poopy" -Ed.) diaper. Especially while I'm trying to eat dinner.

My missus despises the Coco-Pops milkmen (I don't mind them) both on TV and on the radio. We both like the Coco-Pops cavemen smashing boulders over each other's heads, though.

I've removed all ITV channels from the telly so get little exposure to adverts.

Everything on ITV is pants. CH4 is no better, though CH5 has fifth gear.

DFS recon they only do 2 sales a year.
What they mean is the others are EVENTS!

And why do they always say ends sunday and then you know they are going to say EXTENDED.

They really P*** me off.
