My good lady is feeling a little bit off colour & down at the moment & i feel that a good day out may help to raise her spirits a bit, we live in Colchester - Essex/Suffolk area & i was wondering if any of the mighty Org could suggest a nice place for a good day out on Sunday, i don't mind a bit of a drive, say 2 -3 hours.

If I was feeling off colour and down, I don't think the zoo or Alton Towers would be what I was in need of. Something more relaxed would probably suit me better.

Theres some very nice places on the Norfolk Broads, why not go for a nice stroll, or hire a boat, followed by a nice meal and a drink in a country pub. Stuff like that gives you plenty of relaxed time to talk through any problems that she might have.

I'd suggest a stroll round a lake, tis what I used to do quite often when down. Sit on a bench watch the world go by and stuff.

Or

+1 for the nice stroll. You could go to Lee Valley park, its signposted from the M25

take some food, maybe take a camera too

and enjoy :)

The zoo would get my vote, they are usually a good walk, take a picnic and have something to entertain you as well as time to walk and talk!
