Because it is a quote from the guy who wrote his biography. No official statement

Just read the OP link again and they must have taken the quotes off now

weird thing i see the Keith on Keith TV prog last night - and he didnt look good. They had a meal with Poppy and Keith FLoyd was really nasty to the others round the table - just cut them down in the worst way- ...drinking to the end and proud of it ..RIP

I m proper sad about this. Woke up to hear about Patrick Swayze, then saw about the legend that is FLoyd. I owe much of my love of cooking to him and as there's a nice bottle of red in the Kitchen, I think Stretch and I will have to raise a glass to him tonight!
