We'll be camping, part of the AR is to camp in a field with everybody else I think..
Bear with us on setting up the AR10 section for a day or so...
+1
Camping is the way to go. Obviously some people don't like to camp and for some people it's uncomfortable due to bad backs etc....so the venue has a choice of rooms to suit different budgets, but the hotel/dorms will not be places for socialising. They will both still be open and available to the public, so the only people going inside the hotel will be the people actually staying there.
For everyone else, we have the use of our own private bar, but we'll have a massive marquee in the field by the catering van so that will be the main place to be....bring on the PAAAAARTAY!

Also (i'll put this in the main thread in a couple of days too) but...
For those wanting to book hotel or dorm accommodation, we cannt hold spaces for anyone. It is your responsibility to call the hotel and book it for yourself. You don't have to pay upfront, but you will need to do it sooner rather than later as they always get booked out in the summer.

That'll please Hovis, he'll be .... BLOWN away..
the AR has always been about getting drunk in a feild IMO
Same sentiment but I'd have said "The AR has always been about the social aspect of it and the rideout is a bonus"
You've just opened yerself up to the Self appointed Hitlers telling you off for condoning getting drunk the night before a rideout.
Nothing wrong with having a few drinkies but please enjoy responsibly and know if/when you've had enough and if you should/shouldn't do the ride out
Sponsored by Southwest Surfers Road Saftey Campain
Now whose buying me a pint? :smt030

It'll be hotel for us, Peg never camps. Plus I suppose if thats how he wants it, then we get quiet time later ;-)
For me I always camp, but maybe I need a proper bed this time. Having a hotel room does not mean I'll be missing all the good stuff in the field, just means I get bed and private shower!

This is the beauty of the site that Gruntygiggles has found, has a Hotel a Bunkhouse and a campsite, so you can pick and choose what you wanna do, but we'll all be in the same place.

Thanks Lou...I'm not stressed over the AR...had it all finalised a month ago and it took two days, lol.
Stressed because Saffie got her bandage off and has chewed at one of her claws so that is now swollen and icky, so I went to get my vet powder from my tack box in the car and Squirrel decided to get way over excited and pi$$ over my feet, then come in and leak a little on the sofa..........he's a little bugger!!!! So....had to sort Saffie's foot out, redress it (luckily bought more bandages a couple of hours ago) and then go and take the jeans off that were put on clean at 3pm to put them in the wash, wash my feet and shoes and it just left me in a foul mood!

I will point out though that despite what he may lead you to believe on the different AR threads, Hovis is very much wanting to make the AR a weekend that everyone enjoys, so he's going to be the perfect leader on Saturday and then go for a blast on Sunday........late afternoon when he's sobered up...lol:smt015
Sounds pretty much like last weekend then :p

When are you lot going to realise that when the AR was in June it NEVER rained, and we are going to Wales you know!
*Digs out waterproofs*
The "Real" TT is in june, so i'm more than happy, and i know i got a few of the boys over for that in 2010, so i'm very very happy AR avoids june.... *Also digs out waterproofs.... o damn my zip is broke* :D
can we lock this now please?

I don't have one :(
but it means we can take the tent that allows us to swing a cat rather than one where you can't move
