Today was a good day :D

I did the loch rannoch loop (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Balmore&daddr=Rannoch+Rail+Station+to:56.678299,-4.347496+to:Kinloch+Rannoch&geocode=%3BFc71YAMdpCm6_yEdJX1XDAGsSA%3B%3B&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrcr=1&mrsp=2&sz=12&via=2&sll=56.686974,-4.370499&sspn=0.099369,0.308647&ie=UTF8&ll=56.688294,-4.33342&spn=0.198732,0.617294&z=11). Non stop twisty up and down roads

A few pics....

Then up to the rannoch rail station where there is a wee cafe. As I walked in the place just went completely silent and everyone starred at me. I decided to eat outside....

Beautiful views going down the south side of the loch, and again more brilliant twisty roads :D

Great pics Darren. Weather was good today and hopefully will be the same tomorrow as well.

Did you go on your own? Hope you remembered your wallet, cards and cash this time!!;)

I left about half 12 and got back about half 6. And that was taking plenty breaks. Where abouts are you?

Think they're 12's ;)

Because the place was full of old fuddy duddys out for afternoon tea, and I'm a no good biker lol. It's a really small cafe but it was full when I went in and totally silent! It was a bit weird.
Or maybe it was because I roared past them on the way up. It was like the tortoise and the hare, I kept passing cars then stopping for pics, then pass them again.....
One guy wouldn't let me past for ages, I had to keep tooting at him!

I was up that road years ago, but not on the bike so will have to go back and explore. Maybe all of us organise a rideout sometime? ;)

Yeh that would be good. It's a brilliant road on the bike. Just watch out for cars in the middle of the road on corners.
The sheep are quite well trained, they don't jump out in the road in front of you, they just carry on munching. Not like the sheep up glen clova that run around like headless chickens!

The station fro Trainspotting is Corrour Station which is the next one up the line from Rannoch Station. Its not accessible by public roads!

Its a private road (more like a track) that's owned by the Corrour estate.
