Even with the sad news of yesterday, I still intend on carrying on what Dave has started, with a monthly meet of the South Welsh contingent of the Org, but, anyone is welcome.
I will be at 'the Moat' on Wednesday to give Dave a send off drink. Anyone who can make it, please do, more company to remember Hovis would be greatly appreciated.

I've just had a call from Caerphilly police station to say someone found my tax disc in the town centre and handed it in!
Sounds like my holder is knackered, I'll try and find a yellow one to replace it with.

Well, we started trying to look for pubs around Caerphilly as it seemed to be central to the people that where going on the meets.
I still think "the Moat" would be good as that is where Dave planned to go and would have been this Wednesday if he could.

Don't worry Phil, there will be a better time for everyone to meet up and remember the man.
This was just something that was planned as us South Welsh always try to meet up on the first Wednesday of the month.
If you can do, but, don't over exert yourself, Dave you understand

Sadly unable to make this one guys. I'll raise my tea-mug to him at 8pm on Wednesday.
I don't frequent the .Org as much as I used to. Can someone (ie Cheryl or Dan) let me know the funeral arrangements? I would really like to be there to give him a send off. I'll be going by bike - my YELLOW Rsv Mille. A fitting tribute I think?

I would like to thank everyone who came tonight to celebrate and remember David.
It warms my heart to know so many people cared about Hovis and all he did. It was also great to hear all the stories and mischief the scamp used to get up to, be it riding all over britain or trying to buy parts from another friends fireblade after he had just fallen off.
To see so many different people from different forums was very touching along with they're respect and feelings for David. If it is possible can anyone who is part of the other forums let them know of my heart felt thanks? Thank you.
I hope everyone made it home safe.
If anyone needs me, I'll be here...

No....but I've sorted you out on the AR attendance thread!
For anyone that's wondering, tw4tnav took us through the lanes last night and I got pulled over by the blue flashies. Standard checks and they laughed at us for following the tw4tnav and told us how to get to the M4.
Oh how we chuckled. Actually, we had a police car behind us going through Caerphilly, got pulled by the one in the lanes and then had one behind us down the M4.
One of those nights......unless Stretchies done something in the Civic and not told me???:smt106
I wondered why at those lights you went right when i went left to get straight onto the M4! :D
Drew said maybe you knew a short cut we didn't.

You can get to the M4 by turning right at those traffic lights, it takes you along the A468 through Machen etc to jct 28, but, unlucky to be pulled by the rozzers.
Turning left takes you to the A470 to jct 32 of the M4.
Glad you all got home in the end.

If you went through Machen that is not 'lanes', that's the best way to go to the M4! Lanes is if you go along Van Road because after the business park street lighting and civilization abruptly ends and you're in the middle of nowhere.

What, so you ended up in Rudry? :D
Those roads are treacherous enough during the day (hate riding them as you can come around a bend to find the bus is taking a racing line coming through the other way) never mind the dark, rainy winter evening when I accidentally discovered them trying to find a quicker way from missus' parents in Llanishen without going over the mountain the usual way.
