Ok..Here is the news.
I have been offered a job in Yorkshire with a national Company. Doing the same job as i have done for the last 20 years.
I am a very lucky guy I have no commitments or ties keeping me here. The only family i have are my very close friends. (you know who you are) and the beauty is you are only 2-3 hours away, so bring on the weekends.:smt023
Louisa makes me very happy and has allowed me to be part of her life, :smt055. So i have decided that i am going to try very hard to make a great success of this. wish me luck. and this is for all of you :grouphug:

I have been fairly quiet on here of late, apart from the odd teasing post in a few threads, but now its all official, and I'm so happy I just fancied blurting it all out for those org folk I consider my friends:p

well actually I didn't quite meet him ont net Alex.
I first met him for about 30 seconds in Scotland at the GM...and basically gave him the finger, as I thought he was a weirdo(sorry Mr sleazy P;-) ). Theres a story for another day on that oddity.
I took a set back after the GM and decided to go to the AR for some head sorting on my own...when again He turned up. The guy took two days to convince me he wasn't a weirdo and all he wanted to do was talk to me.
A friendship formed after the AR. Other things in my life changed too.
BUT if it hadn't been for the org, and rideouts, I wouldn't ever have met him, and been whisked off my feet..literally :-)

As a friend of said weirdo I can confirm that he most definitely has a liking for cake and will eat any type you buy for him. Every time you stop when out riding he turns into a food disposal unit with cake being his primary target:)

Pete did exactly the same thing, Dizz. We first met on August Bank Holiday Saturday, 2001. On the 20th October he moved in! The rest, as they say, is history! :D
I hope it works out as well for you two as it has for us! :D

I will be viewing a house tomorrow for him. Good thing is I know the area its in very well, as I grew up there....snotsville as I call it :roll:
One thing at a time for us, hes giving me time and space to get used to him being around first. Its a huge thing for someone to actually move 200 miles to be with me:smt041
your doing the right thing DB. Get to know each other before moving in. You have your son to consider as well. Only 200 miles paaaah drop in the ocean lol. Long distance relationships are not easy though, will be much easier having him living a bit closer. Had long distance relationship with DD for 4 years before moving in, been living together over a year now and I still like him (most of the time).

Now i don't want to blow my own trumpet here but i knew Pete had the hots for you right there & then, knowing him as i do, i saw the look he had in his eyes as you walked past when we stood on the steps to the Tyndrum Lodge Hotel & i just knew he fancied you.
As i've already said in the Random Ramblings, i really wish you both many happy years & times together, i know Pete well & from what others have said previously in this thread i am sure you will become a very special couple.

Actually very lucky as we were not going to attend the Sat morning departure of GM11 initially but we thought it would be rude not to see KG&M as they had put us up on the way up to Scotland. Seeing you made his day.
