Need to get my swing arm off but don't really want to buy the special socket at £30. Could I rent/borrow someone's either official or home made?? I will obviously cover postage etc.

I want my bike back on the road!!!

Pretty pretty please????

Cheers,
Ash.

Have you considered making one from a normal socket using an angle grinder?

I have but it fell short at the lack of angle grinder, I dont fancy fiddling around with a hack saw.

You'll get nowhere with a hacksaw unless the sockets are made of cheese :-)

Why do you need to get the swingarm off?

So that i can take it to a bike shop and get some bearings fitted to where the linkage attaches to it, makes more sense than putting the biek back together then paying them to take it apart again.

You'll be the one everyone wants to borrow it off then!
