I've got two bikes, two riders with Footman james, classic policy although I can have modern bikes as long as there are an equal number of classics on there.

VFR750 and RVF400, 112quid the pair fully comp inc breakdown cover and legal insurance.

I do at the moment with MCE BUT DO NOT GO WITH THEM...

I on;y did it as I needed to get the second bike insured quickly and it was only an extra £50 until the end of the policy in May, instead of a few hundred for a new policy.

As soon as this year is up and I have my 1 year no claim I'm shifting to someone else

Im currently with Hastings Direct and they've given me 2 policies, but matched my NCB on both polices.

Result, £500 bang on, FC, protected, all the extras, Nelli n Bandit.

I also have 2 bikes on MCE, and it was 3. Will be three again soon too. they are rubbish but....cheap. Never had to claim touch wood, but they always mess up my policy details. They do sort it in the end but it's hassle. As said above, they will happily add bikes mid term pretty reasonable. £20 for 5 months for my Deauville (plus a £30 amendments fee).

I went with MCN this year when I bought the Daytona.
They were about £200 cheaper than anyone else and I havnt had any problems with them (yet).
When I bought the KTM I called them and asked if I could just add it to the policy and they quoted me £69.90 extra. Bargain!

I know people have said that MCN are rubbish but then having said that, I would cut out my heart before going back to bennets and people seem to think they are pretty good.

Yeah I got 2 bikes with Express (Equity Red Star underwriting). Costs me a lot cos I'm in London (same for single bikes with any insurer). This is my 2nd year of multi-bike with them and my 3rd year overall, they always beat other quotes somehow!

I have everything I can think of though, it's fully comp, breakdown and legal, protected no claims, protected excess, FC euro cover if I go abroad (90 days worth. Legal obligation is only the minimum-allowed insurance in whatever country you're in I think). Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

Yeh i wondered about this for next year i will look to have 2 bikes.

Do all insurers offer this, or is there a tight list of them?

If so can anyone compile a list....?

No, but I do have a "second bike" policy from bikesure,

SV £250 TPFT, GPZ £150 TPO.

Every other quote for GPZ says £250 (no NCB as in use on the SV)

I've had a Norwich Union (Aviva) policy for donkeys' years. Originally it was a "Rider Policy" so no limit to the bikes covered, then rules changed (basically any machine had to have a certificate specifically for it) so it became up to 4 bikes on the one policy (each gets a cert). First bike is the highest group one and sets the premium, then 3 more can be added, if value is less than £1k it's free, value above £1k is charged at around 1.5%, so a £2k bike costs typically £15 extra.

Note it's not N.U. Direct, it's "NU Home and Drivers Club" (formerly traded as Hill House Hammond, now comes under Aviva) 0800 1582126. They also do a fairly useful breakdown cover with it (Bike Gold), £35 including European cover.

I have my 2 insured with Express too. Yeah they always beat any other prices but their customer services takes AAAAAGES to get through to. Only consolation is it's a freephone number!

Muffles, Express work with Suzuki so you get a huge discount with them. They have been my insurer for a while. My previous policy was with them and underwritten with AXA and had every benifit you could think of, just like you said. Other bikes, Leathers, Breakdown (much needed), Euro 90 day, unlimited miles and so on if its an option with other insurance companies express seem to offer it included. The policy I have just taken out is again Express but its underwritten by Equity Red star, 2 SV's one is 2007 the other 2001, im 24, 2 years no claims, 1 conviction, locked in a brick built building, full licenece for 18months for...
£66 a month (x11) + 1 payment of £110 = £836 for both bikes fully comp.

to put it in perspective, next cheapest was Carole Nash at over £1200 for the year with none of the benifits.

I'm pretty sure I only got a discount when I bought my 600 cos of the insurance deal they were doing, although they do 'advertise' that they are Suzuki's insurer and get good deals on Suzukis!

The reason I think I don't really get a discount now is that MCE have offered near enough the same quote the last 2 years, just a little bit off, always with the same underwriter as I get through Express (which happens to be Equity Red Star every time!).

I figure they are just good brokers in terms of being flexible/getting you a good deal with the underwriters - MCE were quite good at that too.

I did get more options included through Express though, maybe that's what having a Suzuki is getting me
