There's plenty of reasons to emigrate already without this. I don't think it'd do any harm, maybe we can now start to understand where all our money goes.

Why do they want one anyway? Is it to shut up 'euro-sceptics' or something by making it seem more like North America? All countries under one umbrella kinda thing?

The Times says he has a number of engagements. I haven't seen any evidence of peace in the Middle East, nothing has happened on climate change, I've never heard one of his after dinner speeches and don't want to, and whilst I'm sure that the Faith Foundation is worthy I'm not interested in that either.

So half his work has yielded nothing, the other half is of no interest, so he sounds an entirely suitable candidate:D

Poor reporting, some people are just bandying his name about for if the post gets created. He has officially "expressed and interest but is not campaigning". It makes it sound like he is going all out to be Emperor of everything.
