you won't get HIDs for under £50, what you may get is some doctored halogen bulbs from ebay that look bluer than normal.

The most popular source for HIDs on the org seems to be www.HIDs4U.co.uk not the only place by any stretch but a few members, myself included, have used them. My twin kit cost £150 IIRC and that was cheap at the time.

Purely speculation but I seem to recall people saying the dominators were fine for looks but for functionality, not so good. I'm not sure if the beam pattern would be anything like right with HIDs.

Hopefully though someone should be along shortly that has already done it and can give you a definitive opinion :)

As above, HIDS4U have a discount code you put in, it's "strathy".

As for keeping costs down, have alook on www.powerbulbs.com (http://www.powerbulbs.com) but don't get really blue bulbs, they look daft and pure white light is better for seeing and being see by.

I tried, did not work in dominator lamp because solenoid for main/dip sticks out the back a fair way.
